Their first album (1981)"Too Fast For Love". If ya'll haven't seen their movie "The Dirt" this video is showing clips of that. The early footage was shot before they had a record deal at a club.that's not there any more called The Starwood" in Hollywood,California
I had this tape in my car in the 80s, in L.A. and just played it over and over. It was rock central in L.A. back then, fun music and fun times! Early MC is great. I love their cover of the Beatles song 'Helter Skelter' so much, too.
Incredible song! This is a young band just playing raw, hard rock music. Not yet having been signed to a major record label. This was recorded for Lethur Records and the following year they were picked up by Elektra because their live performances were killing it and people were coming in droves to local clubs in LA to see them. This is the band that helped to set off the firestorm of hair metal out of the LA scene .
I honestly think the solo in Home Sweet Home is a great one. Micks solos tend to be a bit understated. A cool song is Saints of Los Angeles which is off the last full album they made. Maybe give that a listen.

The sound is so raw and untamed. The " to fast for love " lp was actually a demo.

My favorite MC song. Totally underrated song.
Unexpectedly great song!
Me and my recently passed(11-17-2023) identical twin grew up with this kinda rock!!😎🤘 He was also my Best friend!!
It's a mix of footage from Mötley live performance from 81 and the dirt movie.
So good!

If your looking for a solo that could compete with this one give merry-go-round a chance it’s my personal favorite
This is first album material…it’s very pop-punk. And yes 1981 is correct.
So good!!!!
🎉🎉
Motley Crue is younger under 21 at this point. Mick Mars was the older one around this time.
When Vince could actually still sing
