Especially the fact, that Girlfriend's icon slowly fade in Final Memories, telling that it's the end of relationship, felt so dramatic. And the songs of story mode are being some badass and weave sense of danger, while freeplay are being relaxing, makes it a good combo.
I can only imagine the reaction daddy dearest will have when he finds out tabi SUCCEEDED in his revenge and kills girlfriend. Sure daddy dearest would get mad at tabi for killing his daughter but he would also feel something he has NEVER felt before. He would feel ashamed of himself that girlfriend died because of him. He caused tabi to want revenge and unlike every other person he has done that to in the past, this time someone ACTUALLY succeeded in their revenge. For the first time in his life, daddy dearest faces KARMA for his actions. Even if he punishes or kills tabi, the fact that he received consequences for his actions for the first time in his life will ALWAYS be there.

It seemed like her interests in Tabi slowly faded, and instead of just breaking it off and remaining good friends, she led him on for some sort of personal gain. A shortsightedness that I think she felt guilty for seeing as she's a lot closer on an emotional level with Boyfriend, and protects him in ways she's never done for Tabi. I hope we get a secret ending that doesn't show an ending to the current conflict, but a secret flashback cutscene that has Girlfriend baring witness to the consequences her actions have on other people, especially Tabi. She knows she can't take back what happened to him, but she may have learned her lesson and behaved a lot more fairly and devoted herself to the next love she found after she forgave herself for what she did, which would be Boyfriend. I don't know. I can definitely see those emotions on GF in the main battle as a sort of guilty for getting caught kind of vibe, but we've seen so many mods where GF, while stupid, isn't emotionally insensitive most of the time. The guilt of the situation, what she did, and what I typed above could be coming back to freshen those memories and the experience, leaving her feeling like things are gonna go wrong once again, and she can't even deny it.
Tabi literally lost everything and yet he still lives and that's the thing living through something is one of the worst means of endless pain, especially with what happened to him. I would rather play as tabi than boyfriend, tabi deserves redemption and revenge but in a none lethal way.
