  • We are proud to partner with Osceola County and St. Cloud Main Street to make critical swimming safety instruction available at no cost to 150 children in our community, thanks to $10,000 in shared funding committed to the project.
This morning Mayor Nathan Blackwell, County Commissioner Ricky Booth, and representatives from St. Cloud Fire Rescue Department and Osceola County Fire Rescue and EMS spoke about the importance of swimming lessons as a deterrent to pediatric drowning, and discussed the details of this life-saving program.
Children who live in Osceola County and who are between the ages of six months and 14 years old are eligible for the first come, first served program. Lessons will be held in June or July at the City of St. Cloud Chris Lyle Aquatic Center. Proof of residency in Osceola County is required to participate.
To enroll, visit www.stcloudfl.... and click the 'Online Registration' button and pay for the program as normal. Once complete, you will be reimbursed for the amount of the class.
