A buddy of mine and I used to do this dance all the time. One of my fav childhood memories. It got to the point where all we needed to do is look at each other and we'd start the dance lol. 20+ years later we still talk about this dance. So funny
I was babysitting my six month old niece and after 20 minutes of her separation anxiety screaming, my fiance put this song on and started dancing around and she immediately started CACKLING
I always feel like it takes a couple of years to get with the "look" or "style" of a decade, like 2-3 years at the start of it. Of course this is with hindsight.
For me this is the single most memorable scene from the series. Something too that a lot of people don’t seem to know, is that “Bugaloo Shrimp” was an actual person; he was a pop-and-locker from the East coast.
As much as I love this show, I have to confess that I never saw (or simply cannot remember a single thing about) this episode. And now I can't stop laughing at how this scene ended.
Man, when they first did the Jump on it dance, we talked about that all day at school the next day!!! Really the next week cause the whole school was doing it!! Not to mention it was my senior year, the bulls were on their 72-10 run...life was crazy at that time, then we get this dance!!!
I used to watch this in the Def Jam segment on BBC2 as a 6th form student, and I could see then it was a great comedy that would stand up years later, it's got a cute vibe, funny, defined characters, a great tight script and plenty of action/rhythm. It ran the whole gamut of human emotions from silliness to pathos with ease. I always loved this scene, the moves and the music, so naturally funny. You'd never get a breezy show again like this, sadly today is all about gritty drama and some more gritty drama and woke comedy.
I feel like they had to do this scene so many times because of them being able to try and keep a straight face and not laugh. I know I would be cracking up every time
"Will, the thrill and Bugaloooo shrimp!"😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂
Lol😂😂😂
😂😂😂
Michael "Boogaloo Shrimp" Chambers
One of the most memorable scenes from the show. Can never forget those moves.
And also the times people get thrown out of the house & clubs
I wonder what the Suger Hill gang thinks about this episode?😭
@@Mark-r2z9uNot much since they're dead.
This show aged like fine wine.
It eventually turned into vinegar?
Yeah... wine turns into vinegar eventually 🍷
@@danielp4148 Nobody asked
Still the best 🎉
Will & Alfonso aged very well

This will never be old. My daughter's dance team used to do this at their pep rallies.
Did you throw your buddy like Will did Carlton?...lol
We gotta know who threw who
You should still do the dance each time you see each other.
I don't care if I'm 90 years old. If this song comes on, I'm getting up and dancing like them.
Oh yeah. There's no shame in that.😎 I'm dancing with you!
Same😅😅😅😅
Anytime Will & Carlton are dancing its hilarious!
THE WAY HE JUST THREW HIM 💀
I'm dead with carlton flying
Boogaloo Shrimp 🤣
Will the Thrill 🤣
The way Carlton was thrown off the stage and the way he came back on has me weak 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
At every cookout or get together during the mid 90s family waited for me and my brother to do this 😂
🤣🤣🤣 remember the whole house bussing up with that episode back then & my kids with the rerun about 3years back 😁
Over 30 years later and when this song comes on, me and my boys get up and do this dance 😂
This will never be forgotten
That last part never fails to make me laugh. The first time it took me off guard I literally spat out my food it was so hilarious
I was babysitting my six month old niece and after 20 minutes of her separation anxiety screaming, my fiance put this song on and started dancing around and she immediately started CACKLING
They made this dance iconic 😂
Wait a minute. They were doing 80s retro stuff.... in the 90s? So that makes this Inception levels of retro.
Dancing in the 90s to a song from the 80s which heavily samples a song from the 70s which in turn is a cover of a song from the 60s
I always feel like it takes a couple of years to get with the "look" or "style" of a decade, like 2-3 years at the start of it. Of course this is with hindsight.
That surprised me, too. Apparently fashion is cyclical and becomes "retro" or "vintage" every 20-30 years. Not sure why this was so soon lol.
@@LoveMyUnusualNineties for some reason automatically had some people considering Eighties to be such a long time ago. I Love Both Decades.
CLASSIC

Loved when Will and Alphonso did the dance on the Graham Norton show, accompanied by Graham and Jaden Smith!😂
When your girlfriend comes into the bedroom humming this tune... there's only one dance to do! 😂
Sugarhill Gang Apache (Jump On It)

Best names in the biz! 🤣
This tv show a long with several other tv shows from the 90s are GEMS 💎 ON OF A KIND
Will and Carlton did something I thought was IMPOSSIBLE....they made this song EVEN MORE DORKY.
What?
😂 I never lost the laughs seeing this scene 😂❤️
*Jump On it!* 🎵

Any chance you're from Chicago?
Been over a decade since I've seen this scene and it's better than it was back then.
Carltons face while he's turning around for the dance steps.😭😭😭
Hilarious! I still love it after all these years. 😄
I haven't watched the show so the ending really caught me off guard
I remember that song in a Just Dance Wii game. Will & Carlton dance funny in this show
Carlton's so absolutely joyful when he dances, it's impossible not to laugh!
the Boogaloo Whimp! 🤭
Will got the Giorno Giovana look going on.
oh my, a man of culture i see :3
Insane that so many years later this is still as funny as it was when it aired
Their faces while dancing are killing me 😂😂😂😂😂
Everything about this scene is gold
Did this last night with my buddy!!! EPIC!!!
Will the thrill and boogaloo *jumps* shrimp!
Happy Birthday to Janet Hubert-Whitten ( the original Aunt Viv)❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
One of my favorite scenes from the fresh prince
Will and Carlton were the true stars of this show and why it was so great!!
0:03 - it kinda sounds like "Heart of Glass" by Blondie (Deborah/Debbie Harry)
It is !
Because it is xD
Oh This Never Gets Old
I like how their costumes were their normal clothes mangled.
Love that episode
Overheard my son listening to Will Smith's Getting Jiggy and thought of this show
0:54 I have not done that dance for YEARS
Me and a friend were at a bar in Vegas and we asked the DJ to play Apache just so we can do this dance.
Why you have to smack Chris, Will? 😂
Because Everybody Hates Chris 🤣
@@AK-47ISTHEWAY😂😂😂
I can't stop laughing, maaaannnnn wtf. love this show.
Heart of glass 0:01
I remember the drum majors doing that same dance in Drumline
2024 and I'm still laughing 😂😂😂😂
Will and Carlton were usually teasing or bickering about something, but when they were a team, they were unstoppable.
I Could Just Picture Danny And Jamie Doing This On Blue Bloods.😄
Really. They. MAKE. A. GREAT. DANCE. TEAM. GO. WILL. AND GO CARLTON. 😃😃😃😃😃😃😃
I died of laughter when I first watched this scene😂
This is too funny. Im rolling 😂😂😂😂😂
When Carlton flew 😂😂😂😂

Apache By The Shadows
Carlton limping back on stage always gets me 🤣🤣
The fact this post only has 300 likes and 15 comments is a true disgrace to all humanity. 😔

Somehow the 80s has always been retro

Isso nunca perde a graça 🤣🤣🤣🤣 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Italia Uno anni 90. Che puntata memorabile 😂
I thought Boogaloo Shrimp was just an invented name by Carlton but He's real 😂
If you have siblings you've done this dance more than once 😂😂
