Your extensive documentation of ETD is like exploring a huge mansion with secret rooms within secret rooms, within secret rooms etc.
0:40 it's so easy to glitch your way into the final boss fight even the sheep know how to do it
This was a hint all along to end one's suffering.
This game really is held together with spit and bubblegum. And honestly, now that I’m older, I can appreciate the jank. It’s kinda like The Room.
So THAT'S where the alien riptoc sound kept coming from! I remember being completely stumped by where the last one was as a kid.
The Ripto render being placed over Hunter is just another indicator of the Double Agent Hunter theory, obviously
Funny thing about the sheep glitch. This actually has to do with Ripto's portal. You can do the thing with Spyro, and it's a tactic speed runners use to beat Ripto early.
The invisible fodder is actually a star, you can see it very briefly if you turn the play speed to 0.25, I have a screenshot, very cool!

Man, this game was so broken. Haha. Crazier still is that I remember seeing so many of these when I was a kid because I played it so much.
That one sheep stubbornly jumping up and down all by itself way underground made me crack up. Great job as always!

It's good to see these! My copy of EtD on the PS2 was so buggy as to be unplayable. Gems didn't load, I could clip through terrain if I charged at it hard enough, cutscenes broke, enemies didn't take damage, button responses were SO BAD. Never got to play the whole thing through!

Tbh I wish someone would make an rom hack of this game to optimize it for PS2 so that it would run smooth and less buggy 🙏
Cool stuff! I never played ETD much as a kid, I don't think I ever owned it, but I wish I did. The spyro games were so great. Makes me wish I still had my old consoles. Thank goodness we've got emulators!

Amazing! I found this game very slow as a kid after the original trilogy. Running it on emulator as 1.25x speed makes it *almost* feel like a proper Spyro game!

Nice discoveries for ETD, I even already knew beforehand that Harmonica was the music for the Puffy Palace minigame in the early beta stages, the one that you’ve been trying to enhance in the ETD documentary. Just out of curiosity, do you know if Harmonica was the music intended to be for Baked Alaska, or was there not enough information for it?
Not enough information about it but judging by its use of harmonicas, it was probably a country level/minigame like an alternate one for Honey Marsh or perhaps for the cut level Tornado Terrace.
@@MrFO1 yeah that’s what I thought, who knows which music was intended for Baked Alaska as that’s what I’ve been trying to figure out since I’ve first seen the documentary. Anyway, thanks though.

tbh even tho its like the most broken spyro game, i really loved it as much as the first 3. they should give this a rework imo.

In my game ive caught the same dragonfly a couple times i think... it was confusing
You forgot to add the Honey Marsh Tank challenge where it has a janky invisible wall when you get on the honey river; do you know how many times I died to the stupid head bash animation when I got close to the edge?! I wanted Spyro to jump and glide and instead head bash into the abyss, I hate that so much!!
Where in Honey Tank is an invisible wall? I've never encountered one in that minigame.
Here's something for ya that I never see brought up. In Luau Island, there's a dragonfly that is completely uncatchable. The Tiki Target fireball one. I've tried on my original copy and on an emulator with a ROM and it doesn't work. I'm gonna assume this is just a glitch I keep seeing but as far as I can tell no one else has talked about it so idk
That Dragonfly is catchable but yes it’s bugged. It requires a certain angle and height to capture, just jump and breathe bubbles and it’ll work :)

I have a possible oddity, is Bianca's voice pitch shifted? Like it's a blatantly more helium esque performance than in Year of the Dragon, though I'm not sure if it's down to playing with the recording or if Pamela Hayden was just directed to voice her like that this time.
Yes, it has been pitch shifted as well as Zoe’s voice but to a lesser extent.
@@MrFO1 Huh, odd. Zoe's kinda makes sense since her Spyro 2 actress was pretty high pitched, but Bianca was never really a chirpy high pitched character. Does she sound like her Year of the Dragon self pitched down?

Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly was the 4th Spyro console title and was released in 2002. I highly suggest playing it when you can!
