I use really short string I haven't dinged a yoyo from hitting it on ground in like 10 years. If i do its from fumbling it out of my pocket or something
Okay, for the most part, you are right, a bearing upgrade is usually not going to improve the yoyo. But have you tried Sochi bearings yet? It usually improves the spin on any of my yoyos by about 20 percent... Its amazing.
I would add that a lot of beginners want to lube their bearing when it gets something in it and becomes responsive. This actually slows it down. All lubing does is make the bearing quieter and helps it last longer.
I just found your channel! Its fantastic! The only this is I dont know what you did with your camera but I was getting sea sick watching this one :P. Great videos though dude!

Thanks man for keeping it real. I'm new to yo-yoing and I'm learning pretty quickly. Your videos make it so I don't spend more money than I need to. Thus it keeps my girlfriend happy.
Some people including myself change out bearings not to "upgrade" the yoyo but because they have a bearing preference. I personally don't care for CT's and most yoyos come with them.
No special string length... between belly button and sternum make the string about a good length for that person. One of the better tips I've picked up new players.
@James Pendall while this is true for players who re more advanced it is not as much for a beginner who is having trouble just getting the yoyo down and up. a longer string actually makes your very first trick that much harder and we all know if you are not progressing it's hard to keep interest.
I got a crap ton of ceramics from vs Newton he was gonna toss out cause he said he messed em up. I got everyone working....fire treat em and I got 1 that hasn't been touched in a year and is still dead silent.

where do you buy bearings in bulk like that? and is that bearing brand good? I may need some backups but I don't want to get them individually..

Enjoyed this :)
A common misconception the color way of a yoyo gives you added throwing safety . Thanks for the increments of difference with yoyos . Cheers 2 U !

I got a clyw puffin 2 back in 2015 that came with a dub bearing, they sent a replacement within a few days of me telling them.
Is that a PRS guitar in the background?
so many yoyo's to decide from .. lots of similar shapes its hard to tell what to spend your hard earned cash on

As for recycling strings, a lot of facilities cannot recycle fabrics so make sure to check if your local recycling center accepts them.

Sure, that's different. To each his own on preference
I love my clyw puffin 2
I've dinged yoyos when the string slips off my finger and goes rolling away 😣

I prefer shorter string too
I use long string cause i like to do the tricks that tall people can do and i always hit the yoyo to the ground lolXD
