Broly, thank you for the reaction to Taras' new work! We've had many people in his fandom anxiously awaiting this one and they (we all) were completely blown away by the result! It's remarkable how he is able to take every production he does up a notch in some way or another. As you're a beatboxer, I can understand how you would appreciate the technical details that he layered into Push - I enjoy them a great deal, as well. But for this cover, I believe it was the right choice to step the detail back a bit and let his vocals shine until that incredible drop with those ultra bass-y liprolls and his always epic gunshots. You have a pretty solid liproll yourself, man. Really appreciate reactions from beatboxers since you better understand the techniques and skills it takes to accomplish this sort of brilliant art - especially when the reviewer can or tries to emulate his sounds. Taras' gunshot sound is unique and has become a sort of trademark that many of his listeners look forward to in each of his projects. Taras' new releases are spaced out for many reasons:
1. They take a long time for him to complete. Push took three weeks from start of audio recording to the release of the video. Taras is a perfectionist by nature and he tries up to a point to make everything exactly to his liking before it's released. He was also working on other projects at the same time as Push but two weeks minimum for one video is how long it takes.
2. He's often working on projects for other beatboxers while working on his own projects - such as the audio engineering he's done for Helium or the production for Vahtang's Feeling Free.
3. He travels to work on more projects with Ya Na Ha, Improver, and Helium which takes time away from his solo projects.
4. He's been working to promote beatboxing by attending and/or sponsoring events like RBC, doing podcasts, and interviews, and showing up to gigs for his friends. His workload is crazy and the fact that he was able to get this song out as quickly as he did is pretty remarkable. And I have to say, the wait was completely worth it.
