Nigel, you said your Dogs go nuts when they see your cap. Back around 2007 I was doing Security at a Horse rescue near the border and I had been there for a couple of days and the Guard Dogs and I had become accustomed to each other. Then I go in to change and come out of the guest room wearing military digital camos and I almost get ripped to shreds by her 4 large attack Security guard Dogs. It was all the owner could do to pull them away from me so I could retreat backwards (slowly, mind you) and exchange that clothing for something else. We later got online and did some research and found that Dogs couldn't see the pixels that made up the print of the military camo uniform. Instead, all they saw was an animated head floating in air with hands etc. I can't say that I blame them, I wouldn't like seeing a floating head either. 😂 Oh well, such is the life for a border watcher...if the cartel, rattle snakes or a chupacabra doesn't get you, then your floating head may well be eaten by highly trained, freaked out Dogs! 😊 And that dear Sir, IS a true story!
P.S. I like your hat by the way...I used to have a black one that I would sometimes wear at work in the winter nights doing foot patrol. I was just thinking about that hat a couple of days ago wondering where it went, haven't seen it in many years but it sure was warm!
