Watching this back. I have just realized that I said white printable vinyl. It was regular 631 vinyl, I apologize for any confusion on my part.

Did you epoxy after the wood grain and before you did the crackle?

    • @RebeccaEscott

@@valeriejackson8160 Yes I sealed the wood grain, once dry I applied the epoxy.

    • @RebeccaEscott

It was Pinata Baja blue ink, Because I prefer clear waterslide, I printed the image on that and made a silhouette using white vinyl as I knew my image would not show up in the wood grain. Thank you so much for watching, I hope I was able to answer your questions.

Beautiful cup! After you brushed on the expresso and cut camera did you seal it just with clear spray paint or with epoxy too?

I am so sorry I am just seeing this, and yes I did seal the cup prior to applying the epoxy.

Came looking for this question. I thought it was just sealed but I see she epoxied it.

Hi. Beautiful job! Like a lot of people I am trying to learn as much as possible before attempting my first tumbler. I was wondering what causes the crackle effect? Do I need to add the alcohol ink to the paint for the reaction with the glue to happen? Or can I just use paint if I have a color I want to use?

I am so sorry for my delayed response, As the glue dries under the top coat of paint, it causes the paint to shrink and crackle. No you dont need the inks to get the crackle affect.
