I have a poly unit, and for my first time with my wife I placed the tape around the sides and back of the unit leaving gaps at the temples for sweat to escape. She then applied it to my scalp and taped the front hair line. In your video, you stated to apply the tape to the scalp first. Is there a certain side to the tape? It has been holding up for over a week now. I am so happy with it. Thank you Curtis for all your guidance.
Hi Curtis, great video as per usual! I am a longtime follower and do very similar things for women interested in hair replacement. What I found out over the years, is that the combination of tape + glue works great with some of my clients who have really oily skin and sweat a lot. Seems that combination provides them with superior hold, without tape melting from the body heat
Hey Curtis a tip from a recording pro get rid of the reverberation in that room it will make your channel sound more professional. use either a decent quality lapel mic, a close condenser or dynamic mic like a sm7B from sure or room treatment add lots of "soft things" in the room like blankets or even a couple bookshelves with lots of books turned backwards with the pages turned out toward the room I think it will make a huge difference in your sound and presentations more listenable, now please help me retire my ball caps I want to order a system but what's holding me back is how do you find someone to cut and style your hair system? very hard to find in my area anyone with experience cutting in wigs or systems i live in Phoenix, az only thing I find in searches is hair club for men and no not going there
Hey Ben, thank you for the feedback. Im trying to figure out how exactly to do it and not make the room look like a hack job lol And yes sir, Ive got someone in Phoenix. She works with a lot of our customers (in that area) Im happy to get that info to you once your a hair customer of ours !! Here to help!
Thanks for sharing method you use. I am a full tape on unit before applying person. And you're right! It has the least amount of chemical on skin. Because my skin gets contact dermatitis. My only thing I would emphasize is when I remove the system. I remove the tape and clean the unit. Then after combing through it right side up on the dummy head (just to detangle the hair), I then put it on the dummy head upside down until it is dry. Why? Because I find the tape has difficulty sticking to a thoroughly wet system. For me, the tape applies best to a dry base. Then when I've done the taping (all around and sometimes in small pieces where it curves). I apply it to a clean dry scalp. My last step, since the system is still DRY. I reanimate the hair unit with a spray bottle of plain ole water. You can of course at this point blow dry and style as you wish. After adding small amounts of your preferred styling products.
Hey Curtis, can a thin skin be installed with clear bound going all the way around the edges back front and sides instead of a full bond,? Like the way you would tape it but using clear bond instead of tape.
the easiest way I find to attach mine if its from tape to glue if tape : Tape the system leave all and only peel the back so you can line up your hairline at the front (without it sticking if wrong) once happy push the back part of the system down then start working up from the middle of untaping and wala I am good If Glue, yet again same process, glue from back to half way of the system so you can get your hair line adjustment, once happy push the back part of the system down and manually glue from middle to front while system is on, little trickier but trust me it helps!
hey, ive been wearing hair systems for the last 4 years, I do pretty mmuch everything, color it, create highlight, fake regwoth, etc. hey, I've been wearing hair systems for the last 4 years,s, fake regrowth, etc.etc.c.. everything condition, I even use a night repair serum cream, have a silk pillowcase, even a sleeping pillow cap. can anyone give me tips on avoiding shedding in that area? it's like always the side of a thumb. cheers
Would you suggest using makeup pads to spread clear bond on the front hairline only? I would think, the glue would start sticking to the pad, making it hard to spread. That's why I've always used my finger to spread the clear bond which also makes my finger sticky. Can't imagine using a makeup pad on any type of glue.
True about the pad. It could. Ive always used the brush that came in the bond or my finger too. All has been good with me ! I just try and teach the right methods, not always what I do !
@@HairExperience tape seems to work well for me but I’ve been put off from the harmful chemicals inside acrylic bind/tape so going to try see if I can get ghost bond to work for me around perimeter

When I go to add more ghost bond I wait 7 mins then push the hairline back down but it looks white! What's the best way to remove the glue from the system hairline each time I have to do this? I’m using walker tape , but it start melting after 3days maximum and makes my forehead shine and oily, and start to come off in the 6day is there any other good tape that you suggest ? Thank you for the videos.
great video per usual dear Curtis. I just have a suggestion for your personal look, I think your hairline is pushed way back, i suggest you lower it a little, as a doctor who studied human anatomy for years, hair lines start approximately at 2,5 inches above your eyebrows, i really hope you do lower it a little.. you already look phenomenal with your hair, u will definetely look much better handsome fella
Hi thank you for your feedback. But unfortunately it can't go any further forward. My wrinkles and distinct area where hair grows and where it does not shows me where to put it. Don't forget. I'm 42 !!
I get your comment but sometimes Curtis' way gives an illusion of a natural recession. And people don't focus on the fact the hair ain't real. Personal choice.
Hey! I wanna ask you something that maybe you could talk on another video.: I have a lot of hair on the back of head, sides and even at the front is bad, but I feel like I don't need a hair system right now... though I have a HUGE forehead and that makes me very insecure. SO... my question is: can I have a hair replacement just on the front, just a little part that connects with my hair? How could I manage to do that? THANKS, love your channel!
Hey, bud, I use the hybrid method like you but struggle with making the hairline crisp and clean. Have you ever tried putting the bond directly on the unit instead of your head before you lay down the hairline?
oh, another question! Do you know any company where you send a hair sample of your own hair and then they decide the best similar color for u? I'm too afraid of buying something that doesn't match my own hair color. Thanks!!
Hey man I just wanna say you have really inspired me to consider a hair replacement unit. This could very well change my life. I'm down in Mexico but none of the companies here dealing with units have really convinced me. How would one go about having an online consultation through your webpage? Is that a possibility? Cheers!
