    Best video on 335 component installation I've found.

    Wow I wish I would have seen this video when I did my Epiphone Casino 3 years ago. You made it so easy. Great video.

    Nice video folks, thank you! An alternative method to the hook on the jack is to prepare a closed loop through the jack and the f-hole, consisting of a 6mm nut knotted/fixed on the loop below the jack, and the washer plus nut above it (outside). Then close the loop below the 6mm nut.
    Now, after pulling the jack through, secure it by pulling the loop up, next fasten the washer and nut. Once fixed, cut the loop and remove it and save the 6mm nut. Voilà, done! Perhaps someone will find this useful 😁

    Excellent video and the harness worked perfectly on my Epiphone ES-335Pro. I did have to enlarge the holes just as the video says, but for me being a novice it all worked out excellent! Thank you MOJOTONE

    Thanks for this video, installed this in a CS-336. A bit of a tougher beast since it is smaller than a 335 but it IS possible. I recommend anyone trying it out to use some very thin but strong string. Just an FYI. Also the pots won't fit through a 336's F-holes but you can install all the components through the bridge guitar rout. Like I said, a bit harder but it is possible. It's a great harness, so much easier to change pickups now!

    The tool used to fasten the nuts of the pots is not "a 1/2" drive". It's a 1/2" hollow-shaft Nut Driver. I hope this helps people to get the correct tool.

    I really like your harnesses for the quality of parts/wiring and mostly the ability to swap pickups on the fly, even when you dont know or dont want to solder like me... I'm just buying me for christmas a telecaster harness for my new guitar, cant wait to install it and hear the tone !

    Thanks for the video. I bought a solderless harness for my telecaster but am a little confused as to where I put these three extra ground wires I have. 2 black wires screwed into the body and 1 yellow wire coming off the neck pickup cover. Do I have to solder these wires to 1 of the pots? Or will they fit somewhere on the green solderless connector?
    Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

    do the loose wires and block not move around and make noise while handling the guitar?

      The wireless harness has a strip of adhesive attached to it. You stick it on the inside of your guitar

    Why not just feed the string through the holes first then tie them to the pots before putting the harness in to the guitar??

    ?
    Why is it called an F hole?
    I see some type of S in the old German writingstyle. Is it not?

      Supposedly they were originally shaped like a lower case F and over time the shape has changed.

    It seems like the worst of this is trying to find the strings with the paperclip. I do not know how anybody does this without losing their mind.
    I thought you're supposed to string the old set so you could attach those strings to the new.

    youleft out the part about the SWITCH = How is it connected

    • @davidshepherd8704
      @davidshepherd8704 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello, the switch is prewired together with the harness. There is no need to connect the switch when you install this.

    would have been a hell of alot easier if gibson would have put a trap door on the back.

  • @marshallohio5512

    The reason why individual/s have issues installing these prefab components is the fact there's NO wire play connections between components !!! Disconnect those stupid unnecessary large capacitors , and rewire entire layout with at least an inch of extra wire between components !!! Connecting capacitors directly to components can cause unnecessary stress on them !!! And, add a touch of nail polish to component's washers before installing !! Note, not all 335 manufacturers use the SAME distance component holes layout !!! Beware !!!!

  • @marshallohio5512
    @marshallohio5512 ปีที่แล้ว

    The backing music is a bit annoying but smooth install !! Then again, threading controls through the bridge pickup cavity rather than the f hole is different challenge !! LoL
