    The funny/sad thing is this whole clip is supposed to mock how groups stereotype eachother, but today it would just get protested for being "racist."

      Yeah, probably so. It's sad how pc and ultra-sensitive the majority of society has become. Makes things too serious. I miss how back in the days, these kinds of jokes could be made without people acting ultra offended.
      Yet theTruly sick and twisted stuff of this world, just continues on.

      Decon befriended with james because james has the same charachteristics like doug but he doesnt realized it. In rl they would hang out with eachother but the producers of the show wanted to show how positive racism (doug trying to be like a stereotyped black man) have impact on negative racism. (at the end he wanted to proof that a white doug is better than a black doug 'james')

    This episode shows how positive racism works. Doug threated decon normal until spence told him hes with a new black friend and he spend his time with him because hes black. Then doug try to act "black" and immitating all the stereotypes what society see on black culture. Then he realizes that his friend james is just like doug but black and turn his positive racist into negative when he thinks decon prefer james just because hes black. And try to proof that a "white" doug is better than a black. At the end doug realizes decon likes james because he is just like doug and of his characharistics and not of his skin and that he won because his friendship feelings with decon where strong than with james. A very underrated satire episode especially for this times with the death of george floyd.

      There is no such thing as “positive racism”. I think you might mean stereotypes, which are ideas, which can be positive or negative.
      Racism is a system/action. It’s objectively evil, demonic and oppressive and there is no positive spin on it. Words have meanings and those two things are not the same.

      Sure it did, it's a satire skit making fun of how foolish racism is. It's not society's fault that people are duped into believing everything is racist when it's not

    • @allens2784
      @allens2784 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@christina678 its the culture...the blacks in the 80s 90s were such different good people, adults and most kids were not so low brow, then rap came along and it is destroying both races, look at kids today and see it, sad. Yes a pot of cultures is good, but a bad apple in the box of good ones ruins them all.

    • @Arentings
      @Arentings ปีที่แล้ว

      @@allens2784 What a weird mindset to have about a race of people, how a bad apple spoils the bunch. Each person is an individual, and I don’t throw around the term “racist” much but that way of thinking is quite literally textbook racism. Not to say you are a racist person, but actual racist people share that kind of ideology (albeit among other extreme and hateful rhetoric and ideas). There’s no reason to think there are less good black people today compared to the 80’s and 90’s, and using rap as the lightning rod for the deterioration of youth culture is quite ridiculous. Plenty of other factors have contributed to this, the biggest probably being the explosion of the internet and social media.

    • @allens2784
      @allens2784 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Arentings Let me try this way. We all are simple things when it comes to our self projection. We use this to convey our thoughts to others, as you just did. But when you use tempered thought which comes from observation with logic then you can see truth. Point I made was racism and hate all are constructs we make in our heads based on things we see and how we adjust to our perception, does it mean its fact? of course not but a certain % of it is, for instance the black youth, they are responsible for most all violent crime and that FBI stats not a projection. To navigate those feelings you have try using logic and look at facts, not downing you, just factual observation, have a great day.
