You missed a great chance for a Disney reference there. Winnie the Pooh "A Very Blustery Day" would have saved you from saying windy so many times, and been a smile to many faces.
I got lucky. I'm just north of Tampa and about 3.5 miles away from the coast. I got no water or wind damage and I never lost power.
I would call that damage a ripped awning 😢

My family and I were at magic kingdom the day before Hurricane Nicole in November 2022 and it closed early that day too….so this brought back memories. Stay safe Kyle!
I did my CP at Pecos back in 2003. It was hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, fries, and chicken wraps... Along with root beer floats and chocolate cream pies. 😊😊 totally different now!!

Kyle, you be careful. They’re saying you might get storm surges as bad as hurricane 🌀 Camille ( happened in 1969).
Storm surges don’t happen in the middle of the state. They happen on the coast. It is ocean water that is pushed up by heavy winds so it comes higher on shore. Learned that in elementary school in New England, when useful things were actually taught in schools. Now if it’s not a conspiracy theory it’s not taught.

many years back I was at Disney during hurricane Charlie. We just happen to be doing the dolphin encounter, it was cut short and the park closed when it ended. I remember walking out to our hotel at boardwalk between England and France and EPCOT was a ghost town walking out as it was closed.
We were there during Ian. We were one of the last flights in on that Tuesday night (hurricane hit Wed). We lost We’d in the parks and Thursday had staggered openings. A hurricane wouldn’t stop me from going.
