The Amityville Horror (1979) Movie Review Retrospective

The Amityville Horror is an American supernatural horror film directed by Stuart Rosenberg, featuringJames Brolin and Margot Kidder as a young couple who purchase a home haunted by combative supernatural forces. The film is based on Jay Anson's 1977 book of the same name. The story is based on the alleged experiences of the Lutz family who bought a new home in Amityville, New York, where a mass murder had been committed the year before.

Horror isn't necessarily my go-to genre. Yet, it would be more scary not hearing a JMC review about any of them.

I have a recurring nightmare where I'm in a house that kind of looks like the Amityville house with a single window in the center of the top floor. also, the remake butchered the original by casting Ryan Reynolds.
