City of my birth and early youth. Gone so long now that this is all new to me. Long hot summers as a youth at the Parnell Baths. Almost drowned there as a child on a school excursion. Days of cricket and just goofing off at the Domain. Walking home from the central bus station because we had run out of money. Long walk back to Glen Taylor (don't know what it's called now). Mum was annoyed and relieved we got home safely, me and my brother. I was nine; he was seven. Sixty-seven now. Miss memories of my home then. Thanks.

My late moms 1937-2017 & myself my brother lived the early part of our lives in central Auckland before finaly settelling in Otara Sth Auckland 1964.
The Colonial mindset changed too much about being Indigenous to this country Aotearoa.
