Off topic, but I have a Vogelzang "boxwood" stove in my 1 car garage. Designed for burning hardwood pallets. Wow does it ever make Rambler's stove seem microscopic. 😄

Looking forward to watching Alan's (oh and Alan's servants ) new adventures ! As for journeys, why not consider the 190 km Göta canal crossing Sweden from Gothenburg to Stockholm. You can do this by hire boat or on the Juno. All locks are manned so easy.

Sounds crazy but my step dad got hypnotised for his fear of flights, he’s totally closed minded about it but worked straight away after a couple of sessions, worth a try! Enjoy your travels, hopefully see you out in the road in the vans x

I (Wes) used to be really bad for flying, but for a while at work I had to fly super regularly, and although it was intimidating, taking lots of very short flights really helps. Perhaps you could plan a trip where you do several

Go on a fear of flying course.My Hubby flew had a few moments that put him off so it was overland travel He loved driving down to the Eurotunnel into France travelling into Spain right down to the Costa Blanca.Then when the low cost carrier's started he thought he would go on a course...He went on a BA Course at Manchester Airport and never looked back! I work in Travel but couldn't persuade him to get back on a Plane.He does have his relaxing music on the plane.I let him have the window seat.The irony of it all he loves Plane Spotting and knows so much about different aircraft.We fly next month to Spain.Last year he flew 6 times.

The idle adjustment screw should have a spring around it. The specific purpose of the spring is to prevent it loosening off. An easy fix!

I flew regularly for years...then experienced two near crashes...one in a large plane through an electric storm...the other in a light aircraft with a fuel problem on ascent from takeoff. Subsequently spooked every time I flew so saw a hypnotherapist for two sessions only...never had a problem flying since. Good luck !

I think I’ve seen people say it’s possible to get canal boats transported from the UK to Europe so that might be a way to explore as well!

I worked for an airline for 29 years .. 'Fear of Flying' is totally logical & intelligent. Being locked inside a metal tube, sky high for hours is barely tolerable. Have fun.

you SHOULD ! do the NC500 [north of Scotland. great video, keep them coming 😆😆 the Caledonian Canal is a great experience witch takes you through the legendary Loch Ness.

Love camping life too, so interested to see where you new camper will take you. We sold our narrowboat just before lockdown and was going to do exactly the same thing, with a camper and travel to Scotland and hire a boat . The Crinnan Canal was where we wanted to go, but never got the van in the end. Still planning it for this year though. Good luck and keep us in the loop. Its exciting news. Hope Alan likes her new adventures too.

I love the idea of doing the canal’s in Scotland,there is also the north coast 500 which you can drive along.I had to laugh when you mentioned the level of the water in the canal,it was obviously before the big storm that flooded the canal’s and rivers and unfortunately some narrow boats sank.

Strongly recommend the south west coastal 300 in Scotland. We did it lest year and it was better than the north coast 500 in lots of ways.

The only thing about firewood stove / heater is it don't use power.. unlike diesel heater or any other gas type heater they use power and things can go wrong and until it's fixed no heat... That's why I love my woodstove..i can't begin to say how many times I was without electric in the middle of winter and I was at ease because of my woodstove and I even cooked on it...
Great idea for new plans, .... I can recommend valarian for flying, a friend of mine had a fear of flying and I recommended them to her and she said they were fantastic, all natural too. Safe travels. xx

very exciting. I will love watching anything you decide to do. I use to have a fear of flying until I understood the turbulence. Pot holes in a road and usually the Pilot's take us out of it. Also just decided that I was not going to let the fear overtake not seeing exciting places in the world. Just came back from 2 weeks in Vietnam.

When I was a young man living in England every thing in the shops markets etc that was made in Britain had a small Union Jack on it, 🇬🇧 we were taught as kids by our mum always buy things that have that Union Jack on it.
