I led him into a conversation about how things are better in Glasgow and Manchester than London, (Starting with how Glasgow Central was better than Euston and hoping Karl would mention Piccadilly in Manchester, which he did). Has to be one of the funniest half hours I've spent with a stranger.

I watched a more recent interview with Karl around a year ago, where he casually referred to Suzanne as being his "wife" rather than his "girlfriend". So presumably, they did get married at some point over the years since his previous regular TV show appearances.
I've watched about 3 dozen of Frankenstein's labs videos now...and I've yet to see the man on the left's eyeballs! Or really much more than, "oh man....Karl...oh man, yeah, that shit's funny!" Hey...love a guy who just sits back and doesn't constantly pause the show!

Karl did have a point about helping the starving properly. Leadership is ultimately the solution. Like the leaders who took hungry jobless people to Australia (a hot place with constant wildfires) to build a whole new modern western country. Think how America became independent from Britain. They were given all the skills a society needs to become independent and survive on their own just as capable. They need to be guided to build themselves up like colonists. And obviously not everywhere can be used to farm. That's part of the problem. Not knowing where they can and can't live. Even America has ghost towns where hardly anyone lives due to lack of water. You can't live in currently uninhabitable places, that's just basic. And there is a large population in africa, which obviously means there's lots of food being produced. Just not everyone is getting access to it for some reason. There's clearly a solution to all this. In the west many people live on benefits. In the past a lot of people were poor and starving here too. Obviously now we're wealthier than ever. You don't usually see parents homeless with their kids. Again, benefits. So obviously it's a government issue. Their own countries need to be helping their poor. Those countries may need help to not be so poor. If you give a homeless person some food, you've fed him for a day. If you give a homeless person a job, you've fed him for the rest of his life.
@@annother3350 Also check out the Habitability map of Australia. About 40% of Australia's land is uninhabitable. The reason is of course the shortage of rainfall. But of course since modern civilizations now have much greater technology in agriculture that only 5% has to do the farming, they could use more of the habitable land for farming to feed people in the desolate areas. They could obviously bring tons of water into the area. These days we have tons of facilities that are constantly dealing with sewage and cleaning the water that comes to all our homes. I'm sure they could have sprinklers to water all the grass. They could use specially made sprinklers to water the fields. Sort of like lamp post fire hydrants to sprinkle water over the whole place. They could probably have them all over the place to simulate rain. That'd be cool. Modern problems require modern solutions. I also hear they use the desolate parts of Australia to simulate being on another planet to test how self sustaining they can be.
I've seen this 20x and still die ever time. Especially the FREEZE when knock-on-the-door part. I'd crash at a friend's house on occasion and Jehovah's Witness people would come around their neighborhood regularly and knock on doors. My friend did the exact thing!!! Shhh. Turns TV off. i think what karl was trying to say was that feeding people just by shipping food Is a waste in a sense that it doesn't fix the problem, but just buys more time. that if you don't help the people and put them in a position where they can live by them self and create food, then whats the point. As when you stop supplying them with rations they will go back to starving.
