Railroad Bottleneck in Nashville, Tennessee

This video highlights the Berry Hill crossover on CSX's Nashville Terminal Subdivision. Because this crossover is situated between two notable yards, trains often sit here for long periods of time waiting for either permission to enter the yards, or for new crews. This tends to create a bottleneck situation, where trains have to navigate around one another - sometimes with three trains in sight at one time on this double track mainline. Enjoy the video!

Here’s the IDs I can give you for some of these trains. 3rd Train was I026. second moving northbound intermodal (after loaded coal hopper train cleared) was I028. Next intermodal after that was I141. Final intermodal was another I028.
