My name is Marie and I am a hearing teacher sharing my love for the beautiful language of Auslan (Australian Sign Language). These videos are filmed with my particular teaching context in mind here in Adelaide, South Australia but I hope they are helpful for others who would also like to learn Auslan. I will be using the Southern Dialect of Auslan.
IMPORTANTLY...it is best to learn Auslan from a Deaf person and I am not Deaf - so if at all possible, let these videos just be the start of your Auslan journey! I encourage you to reach out to the Deaf community near you and search for an Auslan course in your area and your dialect. Until then though, I hope these videos are a helpful starting point.
