"Passionate about life" is a film story of 5 extraordinary seniors from the Gorlice district, who approach everything they do with full commitment and enthusiasm.
In the fourth episode we meet Mr. Andrzej Piecuch.
Mr. Andrzej is a valued regionalist, Beskid and field guide, who has been involved in promoting the culture, history and nature of the Beskid Niski and the surrounding regions for years. As a passionate enthusiast of his region, Mr. Andrzej shares his knowledge with tourists, leading them along the picturesque trails of the Beskids, as well as organizing educational trips.
He is particularly interested in local traditions, history and heritage, which he tries to pass on to both tourists and residents. With each trip he discovers new traces of the past - old, forgotten chapels, stone monuments that tell their stories in silence. His work is a mission - documenting, preserving and passing on to future generations the heritage that is on the sidelines of our everyday lives. Thanks to his involvement, many people are discovering the charm and cultural richness of the Beskid Niski.
The film is part of a film campaign about active seniors from the Gorlice district as part of the project implemented by the "Leave Home" Foundation called "The Power of Gorlice Seniors".
The project is co-financed from the government's multi-annual program for the Elderly "Aktywni+" for the years 2021-2025. Edition 2024.
