I didn’t it was an Asian market until I moved to CA. Because it had word ranch doesn’t sound very Asian. Makes me wonder if they gave the name ranch so sound appealing to white people.
Hahaha, really nice and funny. I used to go to 99 Ranch (or Ranch 99) Market, but the items are all expensive (sorry not sorry, just my point of view). However, I usually go there. Thank you so much for posting your latest video, and happy 20th anniversary to everyone at Wong Fu Pro! Much love from the SF Bay Area! ❤
YOOOO! I NEVERR THOUGHT ABOUT IT! And I actually don't know what I call it. I said 99 Ranch in my head and it sounds normal. And so does 99 Ranch. I can't remember what I usually call it. This video got me all mixed up.
It’s probably a regional thing but in some parts of the Bay Area and some areas that don’t have that many Asian people, call it ranch 99. But pretty much everyone else calls it 99 ranch.
@@icedcoffee40179 In the most east coast metro area, you can easily find better Chinese supermarkets. Don't even mention other Asian supermarkets. The first H-Mart just opened in SF a couple of years ago, people were so excited. They don’t even know that H-Mart started operations no less than 20 years ago on the East Coast. Some metro areas have even more than four H. There are other super-sized Korean, Vietnam-Chinese, Hong Kong supermarkets. All these stores are 4-5 times bigger than Safeway, and can be as big as Costco or HD, if not bigger. Wherever GW, H-Mart, and Justgo open stores, it’s time for Ranch 99 to close the door.
Because that’s literally what the store name and website is called. The big signs you see in front of the store is “99 Ranch Market”, not “Ranch 99”. Why do people make up names for things?
Now do one for why filipinos say traders joe instead of trader joes.
The word "Market" has left the chat.
So, was this Rant 99, or a 99 rant . . ?
Not that it matters, I'm heading to Seafood City.
no it’s city seafood
@@dog3156 no, it's seapood siti
Mitsuwa. Nijiya. H-Mart. Marukai.
Omg I kept thinking Chris sounded like he was just saying "no" in German 😂
that’s the joke 😭
@@macaoron exactly. I was thinking it before that last clip which confirmed they did it on purpose
Wrong. It's called 大華 (da hua)
Um, excuse me it's 九九大華
It was just 九九 for me growing up.

I am rewatching “Dating After College”. At 6:24 of episode The Girl at the Store, I see the reference of 99 Ranch and Ranch 99 hahaha
Anyone gonna check our math on this?
We never say the 99 part haha "ranchmarket" 😂
When I speak in Cantonese, I say 大華九九. But in English, I say 99 Ranch.
Yeess
Asian Canadians: ........
Just moved to an area that also has the chain "99 Restaurant" and that has really broken my brain. I think it's 99 Ranch every time I see one ;;A;;

Thankfully Canadians have T&T... no arguments necessary over that name lol
Well… is Tiffany the first or second T?
Unless you say it backwards and it's called T&T....
T&T is not an Asian-owned grocery chain.
I call it R9. 😂
Or 9R? 😂
When I first heard about 99 ranch market I thought it was some type white owned farm market
And I'm over here saying "ranch" haha
All Canadians need to think of is T&T then whatever other local competitors there are for the “Asian Grocery”
Frankly they're all wrong. I just called it 99 market.
WES AND PHIL ARE ON THE RIGHT SIDE!
Ranch 99 flows better
No option found: My family calls them “Ranch Market”
LOL Austin at the end! 😅😅
I grew up in San Jose and I’ve always known it as 99 Ranch Maket 😅😅 but all my co workers in San Francisco know it as Ranch 99 😂
I'm from SF, always called it 99 Ranch. I've heard Ranch 99, but 99 Ranch sounds more right. They must have a lot of inconsistent signs.
This is why I go to Uwajimaya.
Both are wrong

It's Market 99 Ranch!
Austin its 99 Ranch, you already know that bro
How dare you 😂
99 ranch ! From the northeast
99 RANCH.
I always though Ranch 99 sounded more natural. But anyways we don't have them in this area. I think all the Asians shop at Haych Mart.
its ranch 99 bruh

Who cares what it’s called. I call it an Asian grocery store
Bubble tea vs boba
How many times did they say ranch in this video?
Ranch market, anyone? No? Ok

Don’t bring other Asians into this. We don’t care lol.
The gif argument made no sense. With that logic, jpeg should be pronounced jfeg cause the p in photograph is an F sound.
99 ranch
