Nice! I used a pull string from a GI Joe, timed perfect for every Woody phrase. I can't recommend others try these vintage voiceboxes because functional ones are rare and very sad to destroy.

It was extremely loud on that other side is because those speakers were meant to amplify almost inaudible sounds from the records without electricity

What did you add to make it slow retract? I add a little rubber band on mine but it always rips after 5 uses.

What did the original vintage voice box come from and how how did u get the string to activate the switch?

Can’t say which toy in case of someone stealing my design, but I mounted a button very close to where the string comes out and when it’s pulled it activates.

When you pull the string it clicks the button. It’s mounted near the voicebox exit

@HitToyCompany yea but it’s also a lot more accurate so if I make one he or somebody else will copy the design and then sell it for a lot more than I would ever sell it for.
