That's a great review and I do agree with you that the sign box graphics really should be amended on these toys to make them fit better with the era they're going for. However, while the front and rear graphics should be black text on "white" frosted background and the side graphics should be white text on a dark blue background, personally I wouldn't have the left side version being blank (as you mentioned) as that would be an unnecessary level of accuracy, given that the toy isn't that accurate to start with... it being, after all, a modified 1980's box. It baffles me that they went to the trouble of fixing the font on the door sign and not on the roof! But you're right, leaving that left side blank may be taking it too far! My pleasure! :)
Great Review! Unlike the Pertwee set I actually managed to get hold of this one (although I did give in to £30 on ebay as I couldn't find any in Bristol either) I really like this set, but I would have liked a Pertwee head on the figure if possible
Imo the head sculpt itself is pretty good, but the sideburns look dire in that shade of orange and the eyes, to quote the Twelfth Doctor look like they “inflate”.
I really love the look and hope to buy this set If only they chose a different figure but I have a scarfed 4th doctor to put with it The 3rd doctors tardis set is good but the waxy feel ruins the way i felt of buying it as it was almost £50 on Ebay
To be honest when I refused this set on my channel I said in my video that I don't know why character cannot just use either the left or right side of the walls on the outside to put on the back because I've just got an empty speaker holes and they've just got an empty battery compartment which is a glued shut I don't know why they can't just choose one of the panels from either side to compensate for the back bit strange but although yours hardest ups bit more darker than mine because man has more than Matt finish to it unless it's just the way I'm looking at it I don't know great review though
