I have not been in there for some time will have to go and try it you look so well I love going around I live here all my life I love the shops and some of the cafes here to
We called in on the day it opened, found it very quiet and we thought it was complicated to order, couldn’t get a menu had to use QR code, we didn’t bother and went to spoons instead.
Apparently they fell for the QR code only on the first few days and quickly realised that it doesn't work. They've introduced menus at each table and you can order/pay at the counter now too.
@@visitfyldecoast thank you for letting me know Jane we asked for a menu and the manager/owner said we’re not doing menus, what a difference 2 weeks makes.
You can pay cash and card and order your food at silvers bar if that's of interest to anyone XX food looks delicious especially the bao buns. We are coming to Blackpool in June so will definitely be trying them xx
Hi, Jane another great review. I think the prices are a bit steep, particularly the drinks, I think It said 2.50 for a tea and 3,25 for a hot chocolate or 2.75 for a coffee that's a huge jump in price for what it is. I worked it out and it's over 30% price increase before the revamp.
I'm useless at remembering details so I can't comment on how much it's changed. But even £2.75 is reasonable for a coffee compared to all the other cafes. Most places are about £3.20 now or even more. Everything has shot up in the last few months.
Hi Jane thank you for another great video as always your food looked lovely I'm not into chillies so I would of taken them off quite expensive I thought though but good that kids eat free have a lovely evening xx
Hi Jane , Looks nice but i will miss Peggys , they made beautiful lasagna, chilli con carne and home made food , i think this new restaurant seems to be aimed at the younger generation, im just an old fart now , 😂
Rubbish - you're as young as you want to be! I would imagine the Italian serves lasagne etc and it's all still 'home made' to order. Try it and live dangerously!
We was in coral Island cut through this restaurant to go outside the ice cream van was open we had ice cream we had quick look at menu yeah will use this restaurant one of the times we had already eaten at the wild West which is worth a visit.we did find the town thanks to your previous video and now where central drive car park is .we been blackpool 5 times in a year grandson loves it.we was last visi carousel hotel south used the tram.maybe you could do video next of the tram stops price etc
Glad you enjoyed your food Jane, for me - I prefer as bland as it gets, as few spices as possible and plain fish and chips or meat and two veg but Kris is adventurous and would love what you had ... so we would be queuing at separate counters! Good wishes to the new eatery! :-)
Can't comment as I haven't been there yet. Liked the old cafeteria they had there though, traditional food even if it seemed a bit old fashioned as a cafe. However, in my opinion Coral island is always looking clean, tidy and with lots to do for all ages, they also seem to continually invest in the place too. Hopefully they have a method to pay by cash/card without having to use a QR code too, because not everybody has or wants to use this method. Food looked good though!
Well I went in Peggy's a few months ago and in my opinion this is much better. It's also freshly cooked food too, instead of having it standing under a warmer for ages. Know what you mean about stew and dumplings though - why does no one do normal home-cooked food?
There was a knife and fork.Did you wash your hands after entering.....no you didn't.Think of all the hands that touched the door handles and there's you licking your fingers! No,no Jane!😮
Bao Buns are just not for me thanks, the place looks very nice however, if you cannot use the QR code for whatever reason can you order and pay at the counters?
@tonypettigrew... that would have been my 1st question,as it is usually when myself and Eryk dine out. Whether it be because at a certain age technology becomes difficult,or as in my case, I certainly don't trust it is debatable!😊
Wont be going in there, if you cant pay cash or card, not into apps and qr codes, but pleased you enjoyed your lunch, have to say never heard of bao buns as was going to ask what the base was, its a white bread ? Its similar idea to abingdon st market app or nothing else, its served as takeaway , but you eat in. Prefer a plate and knife and fork, but overall gives customers the choice to pay and eat in that way, if they are happy to do so 😊
@@dianeshepherd7913 I hate having to eat with those wooden or plastic cutterly, that's what I liked about the old Peggys in Coral island proper plates and knifes and forks , this new place is like Abingdon Street market, I will miss the old Peggys went there for years .
@davidgps95 - Katie is wrong - it was app only when they opened but you can use cash/card and order/pay at Silvers Bar. Try the Trellis Bistro opposite the back door or M&S. I reviewed it a few weeks ago and that was nice. Chips, egg and beans on a proper plate! th-cam.com/video/pPUXady11XI/w-d-xo.html
So £8 that's the small starter sorted...what did you have for main? £3 quid for watery coke? I REPEAT £3 for a watery coke. Dear oh dear Jane you're letting the side down
That was my main - I wanted a small meal not a banquet! I'm trying to control the calories I eat and what I eat which is hard to do when you're eating out. As for the coke - have you seen how much individual bottles of coke are? I'd have said that was normal.
Well the cauliflower bao bun was vegetarian - the first one I had - and it was delightful. I didn't scour all the menu but there were a few vegetarian choices that I spotted.
Pay by app or pay at the counter!
Hello Jane, enjoyed the video & liked the ending too as nice seeing you at Rabbit Towers. Thanks, Maxine

Totally agree - I should have said that you can also pay at the counter
Try turtle bay it's great food and service 🙏
Hi Jane the food looks nice but I prefer the look of the old place even stew and Dumplings I even preferred the old look than the new look

That's more fun than boring fish and chips 😁
Shame we can't use it we're coelic.😢 looks good
Where was the arcade you could get a cuppa tea in the 80s
You do know that the 80's was 40 years ago!
I remember when it was 10 pence for a brew many moons ago....
So do I!
There was a knife and fork.Did you wash your hands after entering.....no you didn't.Think of all the hands that touched the door handles and there's you licking your fingers! No,no Jane!😮
Well that was filmed last Wednesday and I'm still alive - but good point
Bao Buns are just not for me thanks, the place looks very nice however, if you cannot use the QR code for whatever reason can you order and pay at the counters?
Katie from Myers Family says order on App and there are no Tills in the cafe . 😞 Everything is becoming Cashless now .

Kids only eat free if they are under 10
Posh nosh
Cuppa for 10 p or 20p
Goodness, are you in a time warp 😂

hats a shame. Still looks like a cafeteria
Does it? It's a bit like the Abingdon Street Market style
Won't be going they don't take cash
😅 never mind 😊
Yes they do - you can order/pay at Silvers Bar. I just forgot to mention it.
Not really much choice for veggies or vegans, poor menus offerings. Dont think I’ll be visiting there.
Well the cauliflower bao bun was vegetarian - the first one I had - and it was delightful. I didn't scour all the menu but there were a few vegetarian choices that I spotted.
