    Good video, thank you.
    My research has shown a link between Depression or Bi Polar Disorder and Ciliac Disease.
    Although there are other contributing factors affecting Depression, Ciliac Disease plays an important part especially in early stages of Depression where important nutrients such as B12 Vitamin are not absorbed due to inflammation of the small intestine. Before dangerous and harmful drugs are prescribed for Depression, it would be advantageous to first explore other options such as a change of diet.

    Thanks for this and the hammer dulcimer music in the background (I play the hammer dulcimer).
    There is a lady on a forum I'm on with this and has gone on and on about how her co workers are working to undermine
    her work at steering clear of gluten. She's been complaining about it for years.
    Someone whose been reading said complaints and funny stories for years by said sufferer,just got around to asking about what it is!
    Your video is part of my educational service.

      I’m 30 and also recently diagnosed. As long as you switch to a 100% completely gluten free diet, your small intestine will begin to heal itself. It may take months, years, but it will happen. But only if you are strict with yourself and never eat gluten or anything contaminated with gluten, never again!

    I have been suffering from celiac symptoms since childhood. At the age of adolescence, I stopped a gluten-free diet. All symptoms have disappeared. Now I am 43 years old. I do not complain of celiac symptoms. Does this mean that I am cured or has there been a misdiagnosis?

    I had a colonoscopy done then 5 weeks later my Docter tested me for celiac could that have been wrong since he did so close after cleaning me out and not really eating Gulten after?

    • @elmondo-s1e
      @elmondo-s1e ปีที่แล้ว +1

      “Cleaning you out” wouldn’t cause your villi to grow back. Nor would it damage them…. So no. A colonoscopy would have absolutely no affect whatsoever of the results of a later endoscopy.

    I have been going through TH-cam and almost all the professional " Gluten free" " cut gluten from your diet".. Gluten is not something like orange, or banana that a lay person will identify it from sight alone. Can u at least tell us which food to avoid and which to take? Thanks!

    • @steve6375
      @steve6375 ปีที่แล้ว

      Gluten is present in grains. Basically grass seeds. Note that foods labelled as 'gluten-free' may NOT be gluten free! They are wheat, rye and barley free however and should be suitable for MOST celiacs. To be truly gluten-free just don't eat any grains (inc. millet, soy, rice, semolina, etc. as well). Also don't eat skin and seeds of tomatoes or cucumber/marrows/courgettes/peppers/aubergines.

      How do you know you don't eat anything with gluten? You do know that all grains contain gluten? Some foods are labelled as 'gluten-free' but they actually can contain other types of grains too (other than wheat, barley, rye) which do contain gluten. So make sure you cut out ALL GRAINS.
