- We love Romanian food!
So for Ivana’s birthday, we went to Varna, one of the best restaurants in Bucharest to feast on some traditional Romanian food like mici, varza taranesc cu ciolan, and mamaliga. It was delicious!
We went home to a surprise from our friends at Noisette Bakery. Thank you for the delicious cake!
We then went to the most recommended mici shop at La Ciotoianu. Special thanks to our friend, Andreea for treating us.

The fact that you guys came back to Romania yet again, for the 3rd time, in an unplanned trip and for not less than Ivana's birthday... WOW, i have trust that you guys really love this country, which makes me glad, and i can assure you both that this country loves you too at this point.

@@JetLagWarriorsIt's not Varna (city in Bulgaria) but "Vatra". (see it on the Menu). It means traditional oven made of ceramic/stone. Like the difference between pizza made on steal and made on traditional stone. The taste is different.
romania is amazing, just saying. best food, nature and friendly people.
Mici is paradise, pork hock is heaven, varza (cabbage) is a blessing & mamaliga (polenta) is a gift!!! Life can't get any better than that!!!

I love that fact that even though this food is very common for us, Romanians, and we can just make it so easily at home, you guys market it so well. Vatra Restaurant is one of the most expensive ones, but it's perhaps in the top 5 in Bucharest if you want the rustic vibe.
You two should be brand ambassadors for this country!
