Try that as grilled sandwiches. I prefer jam myself, raspberry jam I love those with tomato soup and I dip them into it! Its even better to butter the bread first for the cold sandwiches Try peanut butter and honey sandwiches too! Esp with creamed honey!
PB&J is a classic for school lunches, or for anyone "brown bagging" it for lunch. Stays fine to eat when not refrigerated for several hours. The favorite is probably concord grape jelly, but I used to prefer strawberry, even as a kid. For a breakfast sandwich, I'm a big fan of fried egg, cheese, and sausage patty on a biscuit (that's a southern US-style buttermilk biscuit), or fried egg, cheese, and ham on a hard roll (also known as Kaiser roll, NY style). Here, the sausage and ham are pork products, so you'd need to find a beef, turkey, or other halal substitute. Breakfast burrito (on a tortilla) is another great breakfast choice. Pro tip: you can't go wrong with hot sauce (like Tobasco or Frank's) on any of these, though many would prefer ketchup (especially on the hard roll sandwich), or just salt and pepper. Oh, you can also serve a breakfast sandwich on an English muffin or croissant, instead of biscuit, roll, tortilla, or plain bread/toast.
I like lots of jelly with lots of peanut butter on my sandwiches too. It tastes even better with jam instead of jelly. Jam has more sugar in it than jelly.
A PB&J is not usually considered a breakfast sandwich. However, you can beat an egg and coat the sandwich in the egg, then fry in a skillet with some butter. Add some powdered sugar or maple syrup, and now it's a breakfast treat!
"the only sandwich that does not require a soft drink or milk' then it's not made right! 😂 You have to put so much peanut butter on it that you choke and then wash it down with milk. 😅
If you don't see the peanut butter and jelly oozing out of the sides of the sandwich, YOU DIDN'T USE ENOUGH! In what world would a PB&J ever remind anyone of a Patty Melt, which is basically a hamburger?
Mothers have been making PB&J for decades for school lunches 🇺🇸💙
If you need a quick snack you can't go wrong with a PB&J sandwich. Thanks for sharing 😀
PB&J sandwiches were a childhood lunch staple in summer. In winter we preferred tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches.
Sounds like the perfect winter comfort food! ❤️
Many of us are much more generous with the jelly and the peanut butter. Those are probably fine but they're very thin. More filling makes them better.

Phoenix Arizona USA here. I got off work about 2 hours ago, and had 2 PB&J's when I got home.
Awesome!!

PB&J is a classic! Also, my opinion is that it's an "anytime" sandwich - not specifically a breakfast sandwich.
😍
Your not alone

Peanut butter and honey (or pancake syrup) is even better than jelly or jam. Cheddar cheese and peanut butter too!
😋😍😋
PB&J should be served with a cold glass of milk!

Someone should tell them that peanut butter contains no butter at all, it just spreads like butter.
Do some research next time. PB&J sandwiches are ALWAYS served with cold milk.
