Good video, Jon. Nice to know if you fancy a western meal, fancy cooking, you've got options.
My landlord turned me onto Yok a year ago when I tried my hand at baking bread, don’t forget to go upstairs if you need small appliances.
Yeah I was thinking if I should video the upstairs as well, they sell some good things there :)
Great information as usual. This store reminds me of what they call 'cash and carry' stores in the us--the focus is on serving small to medium-sized food businesses--regular consumers can also shop there but the primary focus are restaurants and bakeries.
Very cool video! I like local culture info along with the real estate videos! Keep it up, brother✌😎
Fun Jon, my wife and I loved getting that toothpaste that you only need a pea-sized amount each time and the usual suspect of tiger balm patches. I know that stuff is way too general. I also like the more out of the way shops too!
Make your own golden syrup. Water dissolved sugar boiled slowly for an hour or so. Do a search.
I haven't tried it myself but was going to. Even Australia golden syrup is expensive. I tried making bread in Thailand with success. I had to order a cast iron pan off Lazada. No oven so I flattened the dough and cooked it in the pan. Don't try it on the regular thin pans, you will put hole through it.
Very interesting store for unusual ingredients. I wonder if they have Clotted Cream. The type you spread on your scones for a cream tea? Hubby would love that as a birthday treat.
I've not seen clotted cream but you've got me thinking about it now! Reminds me of going to Devon as a child and getting it on ice cream by the beach :)
Very good information, Jon! I'm curious about corn flour, the Mexican type for corn tortillas and tamales?
Hmm not sure on where to buy that tbh, not something I've ever looked for.
I did not see a section for fresh meats or fruitd, veg. They don't carry fresh?
at About 645 was that Jiffy peanut butter? Looks like it is the plae for cheese and yoghurts
Again I make my own peanut butter. I roast in the skin then blend until a paste. I don't add salt or sugar, that's just how I like it.
You can buy Jiffy peanut butter at most supermarkets in CM
@@walking_in_the_shade yes I saw jiffy at Makro today can't remember the price. I bought a kg of peanuts 75 baht today. We are going to make satay chicken with peanut sauce
Jon, what do you know about all these crypto scam centers in the countryside around Chang Mai and the Myanmar border??????
They are inside Myanmar on the borders with Thailand and Laos where they have the protection of the military Junta (for a slice of the action)
How exciting and inspiring.
Yes
