Sophie needs new boots. I’m sure shes embarrassed that they have to be taped shut. If you can’t find her calf size, just get her custom fitted tall boots. Poor girl 🙁

@@blakealexis8391 I watch them all. They’ve been looking for months, maybe a year for them. It should be a first priority to find some or get custom ones with custom measurements. Tight boots can really affect Sophie’s riding.
Storm seems more comfy with gabby riding him, could that be from Sophie possibly slamming on his back sometimes? If so he could definitely be getting a sore back and not wanting to move out at all. Personally and I do not mean this is a rude way by ANY means I think he prefers a light rider as in someone who rides him light. Before someone comes at me I do not mean this directed towards weight.
I understand what you are saying. He also goes better for Gabby because they had a long and good partnership and you can see that when she rides him. He knows certain things are expected of him with Gabby that Sophie just doesn't push for. This is not to say Sophie is not good, just that Gabby rides at a different level.
I think the saddle wasn't placed perfectly.
It wouldn’t matter if the saddle was placed well because of how small the saddle is for Sofia. There is so much literature and studies/ research on importance of correct saddle fit for the RIDER and how much it can NEGATIVELY impact all elements of rider for both horse and rider. It can even cause severe and permanent damage to the horse and rider especially in their backs. Even the rider’s back. Have you tried to reach out to the world renowned saddle company that is Canadian and right in your area? They are #1 in fitting saddle that are gender appropriate and especially for female saddle fit. They now have the only fully adjustable custom fit saddles on the market and they can easily be adjusted without having to have a saddle fitter out to do it. This means that the saddle will always fit the rider really well and can be adjusted to fit any horse you own or horses you ride for lessons for the life of the saddle. You don’t have to worry about getting or finding a well fitted saddle that might work or buy a new one when or if you get a new horse or horses or the years. You always have a saddle that fits the rider well and then is adjustable in manydifferent ways and is adjustable millimeter by mm to fit multiple hoses even if you ride multiple horses in one day.
@@DayByDayVlogs the seat is just not big enough for Sophie. The horse is too delicate for Sophie. Although placing the saddle slightly more backward would have had been a little bit easier on Stormy. He is trying his best because where Sophie is sitting she is blocking his movement somewhat. But her seat is better from what I saw in older videos. Altough sorry for any vocabulary missteps i am not a native speaker and by no means want to offend you. 🍀
Does she want to have fun or does she want to learn to actually compete and go forward in this? If she wants to forward and compete she needs to actually listen to her trainer. I also noticed that Storm is totally different when Gabby is riding him. Just saying 😊

She wants to do her best. As you know, learning anything new can be overwhelming, and everyone learns their own way. I think she is doing great. I respect the learning process. Everyone goes through it. Even you! You were once exactly where sophie is now. I know social media makes it hard because so many people are terrified to show the learning process for fear of people being critical and unkind. I want to show people. it's ok to be learning, and it truly is!
K but Laura when u ride a horse u should have a whole bunch of things in her head u need to remember all of it if she wants to win and do better she needs to remember it 😮
She does! More than she needs sometimes.
Sophie needs a new show coat also, get a much bigger size even if it goes over the hands, I did this and feel much more confortable in the saddle. I got size 50.
Gabby is becoming good teacher...storm and gabby always look great together..Although Sophie placed...I think her body proportion is too large for storm...I think that your fans are right she needs a stocky built horse...I know if started lessons again I would need a stocky horse..because my size..good job...but I thinking of storms back and intern health...but he looks great seems more black than brown bay horse😅
She always wins at the shows is the shows with four or five people for that I can see from the video she looks unbalanced and not comfortable at all
Please, do not "push with the seat". Would you want to move if something was pushing your back down, when it needs to come up?
Would it help if she had more contact? The reins appear to be very loose, they do on TH-cam anyway
hello laura, so ive been seeing how you were looking for something for your horses hay and i think ive found what youve been looking for.... its on another channel called FREE SPIRIT EQUESTRIEN, they have a hard plastic round hay cover! i dont know if we have them in canada but its worth a look.. i hope this helps you looks perfect to me lol and i hope its gonna help your beautiful horses... the video i saw it on was called....... horses going crazy in the pasture... a year ago... this lady is awesome with her horses and loves them as much as you guys love your horses!!!!!!

Nice video and great effort. With my admittedly limited knowledge, from what I can see the reason why Storm doesn't move out well at the canter is possibly that Sophie's riding position is forward on his front end instead of straight towards a slight lean back. I say that because we know that when riding, sitting straight and tall can feel like your leaning back. It is common for learning riders to want to lean forward at the canter. Just a suggestion.

I could see Gracie back there behind the arena. I figured they would call to each other. It's sweet. The 3 girls entering the arena knew they were going to win & place somewhere. I'm glad Sophia did well. Storm did seem more into it this time.

Sophie looks much more upright in her seat. She looks more independent in the seat, and she's not using her reins to balance herself like she used too. Nice to see.

For boots try and snag a shop that sales Tucci or De Niro, Romitelli boots she's at a point where her feet won't grow, they have custom up to 4XW calf there expensive but so worth it.
