- The HafenCity RiverBus is an amphibious vehicle based on an MAN chassis, which is used for sightseeing on land and in the water. The journeys are starting at the old warehouse district of Hamburg and lead to the Entenwerder peninsula, where the bus drives over a ramp into the Elbe river. On land it reaches a maximum speed of 65 km/h, in the water up to 7 knots (13 km/h). The amphibious vehicle is registered in Germany as a road vehicle and in Bulgaria as a ship.

Das wäre eine wunderbare Kreuzfahrt. Etwas anderes.
Oh ja, da stand ich auch mal. Neu scheint zu sein, dass vor der Einfahrt ins Wasser angehalten wird? Damals ging es in einem Zug um die Kurve und ab in die Elbe.
Das hast du gut beobachtet! Unter anderem schließt der Fahrer sein Seitenfenster und schaltet das Fahrlicht ab. Vielleicht ist es auch bloß fahrer- oder wetterabhängig.

Ich bin ganz froh, dass ich den Bus schon in seinem ersten Betriebsjahr filmen konnte. Der grellbunte Leuchtstreifen, den man später als Dachumrundung noch mit aufgemalt hat, passt nicht so richtig zum übrigen Design des Busses.
Das ist mir gar nicht aufgefallen. Gut beobachtet!
