He was just talking about making sure the beat is cued up to the first transient and there is a gap of silence at the start. Making sure the session is in the correct BPM. In ProTools use Tab-to-Transient to get to the spot you want. And then Delete the parts you dont need.
He’s using Antares AutoTune. If you visit their website you can see their different versions. There is a new one that has recently come out AutoTune EFX
I think at this time Autotune Access had just come out and was the new product at the NAMM show. Now they offer the subscription bundle. I own Autotune Pro, but do like some of the features and presets that the subscription offers.

@@SOUNDINTHECITY agreed. A Good Mic Chain before hitting the daw will help eliminate a lot of digital processing as well.

He’s so good at singing , it’s barely correcting so he just prints it on there. You can’t hear it
