I'm a sound contractor and a long time A&H dealer/installer. Last year one of my big clients started scheduling me for a couple of times a month events. At first I used my analog mixer. I was able to replace it with an SB is the amp rack eliminating a snake. Added 6 wireless mics and I set up in about an hour. I'm an old guy. It's really cut down my load and my client has been wildly pleased at the sound because I can wander around the hall with my pad.
Great overview! Records to USB stick, USB powered hard drive & of course DAW 18 tracks, or just stereo live mix. Looks like best board live/studio stepping from analogue to digital. X32 seems more powerful but complex, more layers of menus.
Hi, thanks for sharing, I would like to know how to inject an external effect (Type 2290 TC.) as an auxiliare through my QU-SB Allen & Heath. Thank you for your help.
My soundcraft ui24 also stopped working and I am looking to buy this to replace it. I believe the downsides to this mixer is that it can only be controlled via an Ipad. So if you don't have an Ipad you will have to add it to the budget. I am mainly looking for reliability to I am done with Soundcraft. I haven't seen any bad reviews about this Allen and Heath mixer as yet.
Im on a older UI24R and ive not had one problem, the newer ones are terrible for crashing after period of time usually 6 hours, ive just got a M32C and im having a huge problem with it,so i think The AH is the best rack unit.
hi just wondering on how to connect the qu24 for Ipad/iphone, do i just download any allen & heath apps in itunes ? will it connect to the qu24 automatically thanks
iPad is plugged into a charger as you cannot physically wire it direct to the QU series mixers unless you use lightning to USB connection. But that would only work for recording mixes to Garageband or something similar, to use the QU app you would still need to connect via the router.
Very bing issue.. its a “wireless” controlled mixer.. but you have to provide your own router 🤦🏽♂️ Bigger issue.. the router I installed in my rack, interferes eith the signal of my wireless microphones!!! 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️ I find it very stupid to have a rackmounted system that colides with the rest...

7:49 yup. That's what puts me off using a tablet.
I need crossover solution for 4 way stereo plus subs. Can this run 9 outputs all with dedicated crossovers on each output?
Can you hard wire it to a windows laptop? I currently use a Soundcraft ui24 and it’s great but has failed twice during a show and I can’t risk it

Use a router that does 5GHz.
Change your mixer router to ONLY use channel 10. that gets it out of the way of most other wireless music devices.
That means you use RF mics. Time to upgrade to UHF…

Horrible accent and speed combo. Man, slow down and talk clearly.
