No idea why this popped in my head, but i feel like you could do a puzzle collab with Pewdiepie, where you give him some puzzles from your collection. I think there would be some interesting conversations coming out of that, mostly because he never touched this type of stuff and you're both cool laid back dudes.
Probably never gonna happen, but a man can dream.

    Agh!!
Insanity! Those finger spins & splits, catches... are just nuts! So beautiful to watch!
I totally agree with you when comparing Cardistry to Skateboarding...
That is something that’s been a huge part of my life for a long time, so I know it very well, & I‘ve been fortunate to see it grow & change over the last several decades. Even now it’s just mind-blowing.
So many skaters have super unique, varied & very different styles & don’t even take part in big contests.
But, all the tricks are known, nameable & have fairly obvious levels of difficulty (for the most part).
Rarely do you see nbd tricks these days... So it’s easier to judge in contests...
Obviously there are certain namable tricks in Cardistry, but it’s just growing so fast... it seems far too subjective at this stage.
Art is such a tough thing to judge at some levels.

So I've recently had an interest in cardistry, but I found that when I learnt my first little thing, I practiced it looking at what I was doing and as soon as I was able to do it over and over, I found that either closing my eyes or Turing the lights off I was able to form a really good muscle memory

I'm absolutely loving cardistry more and more as it progresses and love the direction it's headed. The community is incredible, everybody just wants to teach and learn. I love as well that it's no longer just skilled based or what is just impressive, people have done incredible things to change it up and make it visually brilliant and beautiful (cardestroy for me was one of the big game changers) but the different styles and some of the fluidity from some of these guys is just incredible.

Cardistry is a lot like Contact Juggling, where you roll the ball around your body and toss it or whatever you want to do, full freestyle and often using videography and choreography etc.

You can definitely see the similarities between Cardistry and Skateboarding. Like in skateboarding doing a line of several tricks is super impressive just like the clip of Birger performing all his moves in one take. I wonder if Cardist will start playing a similar game to when skaters play s.k.a.t.e.

That setup your mindset to loser. Simply put. Anyone can do cardistry at high level, it takes time (a lot) and (conscious) practice. I'm starting looking really down over people claiming they wish they could do smth, or blaming themselves for not knowing how to somethign when all they have to do to succeed is going for it. What the fuck guys?

My brick of USPCC Rider-back Bicycle cards got here yesterday; I'm excited to start practicing more. I didn't want to ruin any of my $10-$20 decks of cards (I have 3 Blaine decks, your Knights deck, and a few other special decks) so I figured $20 for a brick was a better option for practicing because I know I'll end up dropping them all the time while I'm learning new stuff. I always thought cardistry was a really interesting form of art, but never really gave it a shot. I'd say that it's better to start at 26 years old than never!

I actually took up cardistry because of Chris' videos, though I'm still very bad at it. I find it very impressive what one could do with just a deck of cards! I don't plan to be amazing at it or even perform or compete with it. It just turned out to be a lot of fun. A bit frustrating to begin but once you practice a trick enough times you feel somewhat accomplished.
As I told my sister, "Screw the fidget spinners and get a deck of cards"

Hey man. Long time no see. Hope all is well. Just watched and enjoyed the vid. Good work. Sick stuff indeed hey?!
I love cardistry too (although I feel like a clumsy dinosaur when watching those acts) and definitely recognise it as an awesome artform in its own right. I understand that's its definitely not traditional toss juggling and dig the analogy with skateboarding, but would probably suggest that it would nicely classify as a type of contact-juggling, no? It's more or less exactly that: contact juggling using a specific tool - the pasteboards. The beauty is that the variations and possibilities are limitless because you have 52 objects (a lot) to manipulate.
Also, just out of interest and FYI, its worth mentioning that the awesome one handed table work that that dude Yang Chan was doing is probably inspired (or at least was definitely preseeded) by some of the stuff Briand Tudor published in his ShowOff 3 DVD many years ago (10+). That guys is actually nuts/crazy and on that video he goes on a wild sociopathic rant while talking about his revolutionary one-handed table cut work... It's actually worth digging up and watching just to see how mad he is. Very entertaining. Lol.
    Peace. P
