This seems to be a rather rare operation in machining and hard to find anything on how to do it. I was stuck for a while till I found this. Thanks for the video.

I make a a drilling template out of a strip of 1/4” of MDF the width of the work to be mounted with holes at the mounting location. Makes placing matching screw mounts a snap!

The way I do it, I do the bore operation with a tool of the same or approximate diameter as the minor diameter. I do the bore like you did and then with the same tool, I do the trace using the same center to center line. Also I do the trace operation one mm deeper. And then I come with the key hole cutter and do the trace op just like you did. Makes it much easier on the keyhole cutter. The sine is awesome!!!

As english is not my native language, I had a hard time understanding what a keyhole is, based on the thumbnail.
It's a shame because it seems like you put a good amount of time making it ! Maybe it's just me, but I think it should be more self explanatory.
Anyway, helpful video and what a nice sign !

Oh, dang. I was hoping it wouldn't be confusing but they are partially hidden features. A keyhole cutter can plunge into stock and cut a smaller surface section than a bottom section. Check out the blog post there's a couple more images - pdxc.co/keyholes-post
