It really is insane. The medium MG feels like an assault rifle handling wise. My favorite bug weapon now
I tested it against bots in the recent MO with weapons like Laser Cannon, AMR, Quasar... they all feel 1000% better now. Truly one of the best passives now.
The build I've had the most fun with (vs bugs) is SG-8 Punisher for main - Grenade pistol for second - Stun Grenades and Heavy Machinegun. The rounds reload of the shotgun makes it work like a secondary to the machinegun so well. You have an answer to all bugs since half a mag in a chargers butt will kill it. Just take whatever strats you prefer for bile titans and you can deal with anything.
Its a very good armor now for bugs imo. The 50% melee damage helps too for when the smaller bugs get close to you. I do however wish it also affected reload speed and weapon swapping speeds. I would say also recoil reduction would be nice but I do think that would be overkill.
Recoil control being on a separate armor is probably a good thing. But ergonomics boost + weapon swap would be excellent
I don’t think both the grenade and the explosion resistance armors should have recoil control. No armor passives should share a trait IMO.
So maybe grenade armor also refills more grenades on any ammo pickup (full grenades on resupply).
Then make fortified: explosion resistant & also give additional resistance against impact damage (such as when you fall or are flung around)
Extra padding should include stagger/ ragdoll resistance
Make a new armor passive that specifically grants recoil reduction and reload speed boost to all weapons.
And then another armor passive that grants additional shots in the magazine and total ammo capacity.
Then I would take servo assisted passive and give that one the melee damage.
Then for democracy protects, also add that you inspire team mates when within a certain radius, and thus granting them damage resistance
Then they should rework some of the polar patriots armor to have something unique to snow, like completely immune to its traversal slowing effects and immune to sliding on ice.
nah, it only being rotation speed keeps it balanced
The 50% increase in melee damage isnt noticeable to me

The 50 percent melee perk isn't really great right now. Suggested ideas would be to add melee weapons, let you use the throwing knives as melee or change melee damage based on what gun your using. Example stradegem guns like laser cannon or quasar cannon do more damage than primaries, which do more damage than pistols etc. Completley useless against bots for sure. And im saying this as a player who uses the melee A LOT against bugs, i always have the most melee kills to save ammo against small bugs or hunters jumping ill melee as a parry to create space. But my issue with the perk is the smallest bugs die in 1 or 2 hits anyway, or if you melee the bug is almost dead, or your are just using the melee to get some space.
I think it would be cool if we could change what armor perks we wanted for different combinations but that would be kinda Overpowered. A idea to balance that would be if you were able to choose which 2 armor traits, they would have to be like 50 percent less effective. Example would be you want to use extra padding and extra grenades. Instead it would give you 1 extra grenade and +25 armor instead of 50.
Long post Holy shit but I hope this armor trait becomes better in the future. Same with the arc thrower/tesla armor doing 95 percent less damage, perhaps that will be good against the illuminate

I take this armour if I run with sluggish weapons like the ones you demonstrated. Otherwise against automatons I love "Fortified" perk due to the 50% explosion damage resistance. B-24 enforcer being a medium-heavy armour trivializes encounters where get directly hit by rockets. Against bugs having never ever bleed due to "democracy protects" perk seems more valuable than two extra stimpacks, or maybe I just hate tongue action of those damned hunters and stalkers.
Peak Physical + Dominator or Scorcher + Stalwart + Supply Pack + 500KG + Orbital Barrage or Orbital Gas + Stim Booster = GAWD DAYUM!!!
For bugs of course. For bots, swap the Stalwart with the HMG.

That would solve my biggest issue with bots, ... missing 2 shots with plasma punisher because i got hit by millions of laser/missiles and the weapon just wont aim properly for so long.

Good difference I just wish the second passive wasn't so bad, if the second was reload speed I could for see this arming turning into B or maybe even A tier, or even something like increasing speed while aimed down sights or strafe speed would work too especially with the whole run and gun vibe
Do we know if the second part of the passive got fixed as well? I had heard it also wasn't working. If the melee buff is enough to be able to kill a hunter in a single melee strike for instance, that actually would be huge for when you run out of ammo and have one single hunter chasing you, slowing you down so the rest of the bugs can catch up. Or when you've got an explosive weapon on and a single bug makes it up close, for instance.

Hunters are actually worse than chargers in my opinions. They almost oneshot you, but due to the ragdoll effect with a bit of bad luck 1 hunter can actually oneshot you. Chargers are easy compared to them.
Just melee them.
@@shazbot316 really? Without the melee armor? Most of the time they already knocked me down with their tongue attack
@@GamingPIPI If you're in a pickle, meleeing Hunters with any armor will stop them in their tracks for what seems like a second or so. You can even melee down 2-3 hunters by alternating. I've found it to be more effective in some situations than my Dominator or even Breaker Incendiary may be. At the very least, hitting them will allow you to create some distance and then blast them down!

This armour just shows that weapon sway/lag is just a bad feature that no one wants.

ArrowHeads WORST change by far has been them making it so you can't see what level difficulty someone is on and the map timer being hidden till the user looks at their map. I know you can change this in the settings, but I REALLY hate watching videos now because it's always the first thing I would look for. Casuals already had a hard time paying attention to how much time the mission had left. This was not clutter. Please fix it in your settings, it irritates me every time and makes me want to stop watching what ever video I am looking at.

Heavy MG is amazing with it, the recoil is still pretty nice while crouching
I like the armor but can't stop playing stealth armor, I avoid taking agro a lot and when you crouch and you are in bush, enemies have really no clues. I will still use take it time to time for fun

I mean i played clutch MKB i'd maybe think about accuracy instead of tactics but yeh this armor def now i been shown makes sense
and thats the problem with some games the Damn mechanics are so hidden they have to be tested to know they do what they do.

To be fair, the armor says what it does right on front. The problem was that it wasn't working until the patch today.
I wish the 'Peak Physique' was close to what is the base standard and then with the Peak Physique you essentially remove it entirely and maybe add some minor recoil compensation.
I wish they would separate the armor from the traits and turn the traits in to a “gadget” or something so you can pick whatever you want to wear with whatever stat bonuses you want.
They said they wouldn’t do this.

I believe it may have to do with the idea of the armor passive matching with the armor appearance in some way, like how some armors have grenades attached to them to signify them being the engineer passive for the +2 grenades.@@VonBrachsenbruegge
And team play wise I'm not going to know what my teammates armor perk is running if you can just keep swapping out the perk that will make me very confused, not really game breaking for sake but I think if they change to that system they might need to add some UI element so I can check what my teammates is running in the armor. That is a nightmare if they keep everything on UI instead show in game as a model

Dropping my new favorite bot setup:
Armor: Twig Snapper (Peak Physique)
Primary: Eruptor
Secondary: Senator
Grenade: Stuns
Stratagems: 380mm barrage, eagle air strike, supply pack, HMG
HMG isn’t a necessity but I think it’s good enough to use and looks badass
And now they hidden nerfed it! It isnt working with any heavy weapon since yesterday update, i've tested with auto cannon, MG-209 and Eruptor, its working only at the recoil now...
I use light armors (w +2throwable and recoil reduction) and shield with varied support weapons.
But AC looks like heavy AMR with this armor.
The buff to your melee damage is still ass. They should add reduced recoil to the armor passive or something
Both fortified AND engineering kit already have recoil reduction. I think they should replace it with less slowdown from foliage or something.
