I live down south Jersey like you guys but I work at Newark airport and grew up in Elizabeth. Jersey gardens is mostly an outlet mall so a lot of people from other countries fly in to Newark and take the bus over to the mall and shop to sell those items because things are so much cheaper here compared to where they live. So that’s why you saw people with suitcases. That has been going on since the mall opened. Btw the Dream Mall is another 30-40 min from Jersey gardens depending on traffic and you should def go there it’s really cool but wear comfy shoes and be ready for a lot of walking because it’s a lot bigger than Jersey gardens.
We definitely want to go to the dream mall. Interesting about the buying and reselling but it make sense, it was just so interesting to see, literally made it feel like being in a huge airport.
