I think a lot of the songs on the new album are close to the psalms in the Bible. A lot of them relate to the human condition that we are broken, we are hurt, we need a savior. People argue that old hymns are better because of their deep theology and I can sometimes agree but this album keeps it real and the lyrics are relatable, poetic, artistic, well thought out. They have excellent musicians that are just geniuses. This album moves me in so many ways, it's just beautiful.
This is so true! Some people think the album is just okay, because they get caught up in the musicality and disregard the lyrics. But lyrically, this album is masterpiece! God definitely showered down grace on them with this one. I didn't even know that the songs were so deep. I thought I knew what they were saying, but I was so wrong, lol. But man, the lyrics on this album are poetic and beyond beautiful. It's like I'm discovering this album for the first time after having it for over a year. Please pray for me! I get sick very often and my ears are very weak and they get blocked all the time! My left ear cannot hear as well as my right hear. Both my ears ache often. My throat also gets affected easily. It aches and I hvae to clear my throat all the time. There is phelgm and it gets painful in my ear and my throat when I swallow sometimes.
