it's a niche shoe but it's basically the only shoe in that niche, so I would say it is essential. the only thing that comes close is the New Balance 870 (and maybe older Ravenna models, the new ones are trash), and as someone that absolutely needs stability but also does like to race, i put a very high value on these types of shoes.

I love my trainer 24s I'm going to get the black pair of 25s tomorrow with the gunmetal sole. Asics outlet is having their president sale buy one get one 80% off in Dec they have buy one get one free.
The Asics DS Trainer is the performance trainer that other companies have tried (and mostly, failed) to emulate. It's always been great.

They are both good, but I find the 25 firmer than the 24.
