I made one of these book wreaths a few years ago and put jewelry in the middle that had belonged to my Mom before she passed. Made one for my sister and one for my brother as a memento. The pages are still standing up straight and not bent over without doing anything different than you did! Thanks for the video.
It’s an addictive activity! I made my first one from magazines months ago & I am still adding cones! An old church hymnal would be so great! Now I am cutting smaller pages because the first one is HUGE!
Jen this looks Fabulous! Thanks for sharing. Do you have any more great ideas for library decorations? What is the brand name of your healing mat you work on?
I have a little idea to get some color on your pages without going overboard. Before you cut your pages out of your book use metallic acrylic or watercolor paint and paint the edges of the book then cut them out and roll them up and put your wreath together. Maybe even the glitter mod podge you would have to work quickly to get the book pages cut out and separated that I think that would be a really good way to get color into your wreath without worrying about placing Christmas bulbs or something like that into it. Also you could use a spray bottle with water down paint of your choice or coffee or tea to stain the pages after you have your wreath put together. I think this is a great diy.. also for the center if you wanted it different from roll book pages you could take a couple of pages roll them into a tube flatten the tube and cut down the page about 3 inches and make a little Strips and fluff it out to make it look like the center semen of a real flower.

My mother and I made one of these back in the late '60s. This brought back good memories. Thank you. :)

I love this idea! You may be able to find old sheet music at a thrift store.
