Absolutely amazing ground one of if not the best in the world, my dad took me here to watch my first live game of AFL which was Hawthorn vs Melbourne in 1996 the "merger game". Also we took my son to watch his first AFL game last year Melbourne vs Brisbane lions. We are so lucky to have a stadium with a rich history that is also a beautiful ground and an awesome place to watch a sporting event.
So many classic memories here. Melbourne vs Geelong Elimination Final in 2018 was just spine tingling with 90,000 people. The stadium just lights up for AFL games

What are those things/apparatus kept on the field?
They a huge UV lamps for growing grass in the shade. They are fitted to wheels so they can be moved around.
Arpan Jolly you can see them more clearly in Docklands Stadium video where they are also used.
