Here in the USA, our family has raised thousands of chickens. To find a truly healthy chicken feed, it can cost $40 for a 50lb bag, which is absolute insanity.
For years we volunteered at a local food line where local stores donated all kinds of food to whomever was humble enough to go through the line. Many local families who raised birds or pigs would be able to leave with at least a few large boxes to feed their animals. This line was open 6 days a week. We also had a friend who would occasionally find 50 gallon trash bags of organic produce from a local food co op. He would bring it to our family, dump it in the yard for all the birds & in exchange, he would leave with a trunk full of feed bags full of rabbit droppings for his garden.
Over the years we've made the decision to never support big agriculture & poultry feed companies due to the tainted food supply & outrageous prices.
It can be difficult to raise life here in the desert because we don't have pasture. What we have is ingenuity.
We can get sprouting grain / seeds / beans from a local mill. We can keep soldier flies, red wiggler worms, create giant compost piles & cook pasta or lentils. All far cheaper & healthier than bagged feed.
Our country is an agricultural country, so organic food sources for livestock and poultry are many and abundant. Everyone here knows how to raise chickens, pigs and other animals. But mainly they Using industrial bran to feed to reduce labor and labor. On my farm, the chickens are under 100 days old. I still use industrial bran to develop healthy bones and digestive systems. I started feeding the chickens mixed food. Mixing different types of grains and what is available locally. Although it takes a bit of work, in return my products always sell at higher prices than other farms and are trusted and supported by buyers.
@@Tiepnhanfarm that was awesome to read. I've never heard about the bran. I will have to research that further, thank you. Your videos are fun & educational to watch. I've taken a break from raising chickens until we have all this sorted out. Right now we have pygmy goats who love to snack on the trees. We have to buy alfalfa pellets by the half ton to make it a bit economical. Otherwise, hay is $20 to 35 a bale, when just a few years ago it could be found for $5 to $15.
50lb of hay pellets run over $20. Buying in bulk cuts that in half.

If you raise a small amount, you can ferment corn and rice. After fermentation, it can be used for several months

After sprouting how do you reserve or keep it from being spoiled because some times after sprouting it become big and can be fed for weeks. Pliz help
If you don't want to feed it yet, water it every day to keep it moist. This rice sprout can only be kept for about 1 week at most.

That looks like a great idea my friend.! how ever those two big sacks of rice made enough sprouts to feed all those chickens for "one day", .I am wondering how much the rice per kilo is in your village, or do you grow your own rice..?? because these days, rice is NOT cheap..!! This is the rice my family grows. Rice here is very cheap. 1 dollar can buy 4kg of rice. Out of 10 families here, there are 9 families involved in rice growing.
