I just finished reading this and a thing you hit on was Eleanor as an unreliable narrator… there was a lot to enjoy about this book, but I think this aspect was especially memorable for me. The smooth and subtle slide into madness was very well done. There were some clues early on where Eleanor’s narration was mixed into ongoing conversations between other characters in such a disjointed and disorienting way that one could almost be forgiven for thinking it was sloppy writing.
Later in the book I felt as though I had to slow down and question virtually thought and interaction she was a part of or witnessed; as Theo, Luke, and Dr M’s personalities had been twisted so far as to be completely different people relative to who they were presented to be. I believe, perhaps incorrectly, that most of the dialogue through the last 1/4 of the book leading up to the epilogue was reliably unreliable as filtered through the completely broken lens of Eleanor.

My goodness, you do amazing work ma'am. I just recently discovered your channel.
    I love a lot of Jackson's work.
We've Always Lived in The Castle
    and the Lottery especially.
I'd like someone to do an interpretation of Carson McCullers : The Ballad of Sad Cafe.
