Yes, Gorod is definitely one of the most very best death metal bands of all times! (They are actually my favorite) And as much as I love their old material more than anything, they just keep getting better and better.
It’s pretty damn overproduced, DI tracks were edited and pitch corrected, samples supplementing drum shell mics, not saying it’s bad though, it suits the music well
Revocation are amazing too although I dunno if you would lump them in the same genre as SoP and gorod. They're tech death, but more thrashy. And jazzier, haha
I like to say "Music is better when it's jazzy, and jazz is better when it's fun" so obviously Gorod is my favorite tech band. Been here since Leading Vision :D

Side note: I met Julien by the merch booth after the show in Orlando a few years back, super fucking cool dude, super humble, and he sold me a copy of Transcendence that he pulled out of his suitcase... never will forget that moment! So many death metal bands kinda put themselves in a corner with their standard sound, Gorod is clearly Gorod sonically, but make so many moves in different directions to keep shit fresh as fuck. don't know much of gorod. first half of the song didn't grab my attention the other part was really good. great guitar tone too. I'm interested in listing to this album when it comes out.

The drums sound overproduced compared to the rest….would make it even more good if the drums sounded more open
