Next, I think it’s up to us to keep some of the lovely old nursery rhymes going, as well as singing the funky new ones - so let’s do the lovely and jolly…
Sing a Song of Sixpence
Sing a song of sixpence a pocket full of rye.
4 and 20 blackbirds baked in a pie.
When the pie was opened,
the birds began to sing.
Wasn’t that a dainty dish to set before the king?
The king was in his counting house,
counting out his money.
Queen was in the parlour,
eating bread and honey.
Maid was in the garden,
hanging out the clothes,
when down came a blackbird and pecked off her nose.
Such was the commotion that little Jenny wren,
came down to the garden and put it back again.
Thank goodness her nose went back on - I think it’s time to have a good old dance together now,
don’t you? So are you ready to skip like crazy with me? Lovely…
