Missed the premier! Did not get notification. Earlier when I checked the channel news I did not see that a premier was coming up. Anyways, good video. Interesting that there was an unescorted lady in Western attire in the train @ 01:14. That bespeaks of public modernism and is good to see.
By building unnecessary tunnels under a large boulevard with large underground stations with platform screen doors, they are wasting money, and have lost basically all the benefits of a tram. But hey, it’s Qatar, so they have a lot of money to waste anyway
@@nerdynerdynoob3733Unless above ground there was something else in the way and in that case should have gone further and make it a metro. Looking at satellite imagery it goes under streets incompatible with surface trams.
@@QuarioQuario54321 There is actually a metro in Qatar, the Doha Metro. It was opened in 2020 and has 3 lines. The sections of the rapid transit have some underground sections, so they waste too much money. 🎵 But hey! It's the Qatar though. So they have too much money to waste! Yeah, yeah, yeah! 🎵 That was a song!
@@tomaspalisek4824yes only small part of Lusail tram is underground.most of the part is aboveground.on april 8 2024 above ground lines are also opened to public

Good video of light rail in Doha. Thanks Tim😀💚
Is this entirely underground? Should have made it a proper metro then
