It's amazing how ignorant I was of God's Word. I was in Church for decades and never read the Bible because my Pastor has a Masters of Divinity Degree. While I was working all week he was studying, praying, and preparing his sermons. When I started reading God's Word I realized how much I didn't know. Romans, changed me and helped me finally put the sins I was practicing behind me. The biggest thing I was shocked about was how some things I was taught were wrong. It was a hard pill to swallow. You will never know what the truth is if you Don't read the Word of God yourself.
oh man, Romans hit me hard the other day in the shower i couldnt stop crying for like 5 minutes! especially because it related to a previous conversation I had that day before.. yep God works in the most amazing of ways no doubt! he also brought my childhood love back to me after 20 years!
I had never heard the gospel either! I was in catholic school as a child and another church, the Bible was not suggested. I truly didn't know but thank God at 62 I do know what our loving Father has done for the world! This Palm Sunday Lord I love you and thank you for saving a wretch like me ❤

One was when i (21 or so at the time) went with my two younger sisters b/c our guardians wanted to make sure we attended church. That particular sermon the priest read Mark 9:41-50 where Jesus says it's better for you to cut off a limb (hand, foot, or pluck out your eye) than to go turn Hell "Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched." It was the first time a sermon from Church really stuck with me (that i recall); and a few years later God showed me i was headed there. Cried out to Him for mercy...life's never been quite so good since. : )
I always ask people if they can give me the definition of believe, faith, repentance and contrite heart. 9 times out of 10 they can't. So then I explain all of these to them. Then as I am ending my conversation, I ask if they are going to have a conversation with God, trust him and repent for offending God. If I get a yes, than I ask when. Then I suggest that they do it before the day is over and ask if they will. If I get a yes, then I say Praise the Lord and I expect to see them at the gates of heaven one day. Then I give them some information of what we just talked about with my salvation story. I also include some really good preacher videos, including yours to get them started in the discipling process. Ray I would love to see your cartoon tracts and video include the definitions I mentioned above. What do you think.

HE taught Repentance to GOD and being born again, being Baptised in Faith. Did David "confess on his knees to Nathan?" NO, he prayed to GOD. Read the Psalms.

Oh my goodness. I was dry eyed through the entire video, until the camera zoomed in on her husband, his thumbs up made me tear up. There are times when men need to be bold and speak the truth, and there are times when men simply allow their hearts to soften. I felt that is what happened with this gentleman. I so appreciate him, and I will pray for him tonight as I fall asleep.

Thanks for this! Pushing through fear is a common thing when it comes to witnessing, but a lot of it comes down to perspective - remembering Christ, and Him crucified helps massively on this front, for if we trust in Him, then we (like Paul) can say "If God be for us, who can be against us?" Paul had sermons interrupted, and all sorts of other things happen. Plans may not go the way we expect, but God is good: trust Him and keep on truckin'.
Love overcomes fear. Love is part of the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-24). "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. We love him, because he first loved us. I initially thought that the husband was probably a non-believer who was upset that his wife was being talked to about God! Then, I saw that smile and thumbs-up at the end, and began to think that maybe he was a believer who was standing back, because it's often so much easier for those you love to hear the Gospel if it comes from someone else. See how we misjudge people? 😂 We're so easily fooled. I believe that his initial body language was a natural husband's protective stance for his wife. He may have been concerned that someone was about to verbally/spiritually abuse his wife, and he was ready to step in (as any good husband would) had that happened. However, I think he may have realized that this was a consensual and non-confrontational exchange, and I began to see him relax. Praise God!!!
I think sometimes some people that think reading peoples body language tells you everything 100% need to look at it like a toss up of 50/50. You will not be correct half the time. I say that because people say stuff to me about my body language and I explain to them I am not thinking whatever they say I am thinking at all.
Ray, I wonder if you might be willing to address the supposed new conversion of Jim Carrey the famous actor. I have watched the video of a speech of his and while part of it is lovely, part is not based on the truth of the Bible. I don’t sense that he truly knows Jesus as his Lord and Savior and understands how vital repentance is in true salvation. My heart does, in fact, go out to him but, I think that many Christians are believing that he is now also a Christian. I thought that, perhaps, you could shed some light on this subject. I think we should all be praying for Jim Carrey.

No. Not at all. 2 Timothy is instruction for within the local church. Mark 16:15 is for every Christian. The woman at the well spread the gospel (John 4). God bless her. No one has an answer for this: where are the believers? Doesn’t it say in the New Testament: “these signs will accompany those who believe: in the name of Jesus Christ they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues, they will take up serpents, and if they drink anything deadly, it will buy no means hurt them. They will lay hands on the sick and they will recover. The Lord will work through them, confirming the Word through the accompanying signs.” Where is this happening? I see a lot of teachers and preachers, but I see absolutely no DEMONSTRATION of God’s power. Like Jesus and His apostles did quite frequently in their missions. I have heard a number of “justifications“ for why we don’t have miracles today. Things ranging from “God uses doctors to heal people now” to “that was under a different dispensation because of persecution but we don’t need miracles now.” BUT THATS NOT WHAT THE WORD SAYS! So my question is is: where are the believers? Where are the accompanying signs? Where is the demonstration of God’s power? It’s a fair question! And no one has an answer!

Pushing through fear is a common thing when it comes to witnessing, but a lot of it comes down to perspective - remembering Christ, and Him crucified helps massively on this front, for if we trust in Him, then we (like Paul) can say "If God be for us, who can be against us?"
Paul had sermons interrupted, and all sorts of other things happen. Plans may not go the way we expect, but God is good: trust Him and keep on truckin'.

I initially thought that the husband was probably a non-believer who was upset that his wife was being talked to about God! Then, I saw that smile and thumbs-up at the end, and began to think that maybe he was a believer who was standing back, because it's often so much easier for those you love to hear the Gospel if it comes from someone else. See how we misjudge people? 😂 We're so easily fooled. I believe that his initial body language was a natural husband's protective stance for his wife. He may have been concerned that someone was about to verbally/spiritually abuse his wife, and he was ready to step in (as any good husband would) had that happened. However, I think he may have realized that this was a consensual and non-confrontational exchange, and I began to see him relax. Praise God!!!
Maybe the thumbs up was treating his with with dignity and respect.

I think sometimes some people that think reading peoples body language tells you everything 100% need to look at it like a toss up of 50/50. You will not be correct half the time. Ray, I wonder if you might be willing to address the supposed new conversion of Jim Carrey the famous actor. I have watched the video of a speech of his and while part of it is lovely, part is not based on the truth of the Bible.
I don’t sense that he truly knows Jesus as his Lord and Savior and understands how vital repentance is in true salvation.
My heart does, in fact, go out to him but, I think that many Christians are believing that he is now also a Christian.

No. Not at all. 2 Timothy is instruction for within the local church. Mark 16:15 is for every Christian. The woman at the well spread the gospel (John 4). God bless her. No one has an answer for this: where are the believers? Doesn’t it say in the New Testament: “these signs will accompany those who believe: in the name of Jesus Christ they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues, they will take up serpents, and if they drink anything deadly, it will buy no means hurt them. They will lay hands on the sick and they will recover. The Lord will work through them, confirming the Word through the accompanying signs.”
Where is this happening?
I see a lot of teachers and preachers, but I see absolutely no DEMONSTRATION of God’s power. Like Jesus and His apostles did quite frequently in their missions.
I have heard a number of “justifications“ for why we don’t have miracles today. Things ranging from “God uses doctors to heal people now” to “that was under a different dispensation because of persecution but we don’t need miracles now.” BUT THATS NOT WHAT THE WORD SAYS!
So my question is is: where are the believers? Where are the accompanying signs? Where is the demonstration of God’s power?
It’s a fair question! And no one has an answer!
She seems all good. Love God and love your neighbour. Faith ,hope and love are the keys to heaven I've been told. Hebrews have a different road to the Gentiles. She is being deceived by lies and the devil...she says she don't believe in hell but if you believe in god ya ya gave to believe in hell and the devil. And how can she as a catholic not believe in hell? She need to reconnect with god and Jesus and the word itself. Cause obviously she doesn't know or understand that word like she thinks.
I hope they understand that Jesus is the final blood sacrifice for our sin. No more animal sacrifices needed. Scripture says there is no forgiveness of sin without the shedding of Blood. Jesus is the Blood Atonement. The perfect Lamb of God.
