Many of us already knew how we felt about him and the entire family over the years, but I think that we really get this very special emotion when we read and hear so many stories from people who met him and also from ones who wished they had. It certainly reminds me of how Michael Jackson did the same thing through his music and humanitarianism. The Hawkins family must know that we have always loved them and always will.

I Had a chance to meet Brother Walter once. I was at a music workshop and I just so happened to be at a booth purchasing one of his CD's... the one where he's wearing a powder blue suit with a huge afro. Just then he walked up... I pointed to the CD and he just kinda smirked and shook his head. As long as I have been saved, there has been Walter and Family to encourage me... I'm already missing you brother.
