I just love how Steve has kept that accent of his, despite having lived everywhere else - besides England - for most of his life. He'd definitely have a few stories to tell. 😉
I don't really know but I think it has to do with what age a person moves like Steve moved to the US in what his mid twenties so he spent those early years in England growing and developing absorbing his environment but if he had move here when he was 5 he probally wouldnt have and accent well theres my 2 cents on something I don't really know if its right or not but it sounds good
that's true. the part of your brain that develops your natural "accent" is permanently developed by your mid to late teens. you might pick up local idioms but not change your accent unless you're consciously "acting". look at like Arnold Schwarzenegger, or any friend or acquaintance's migrant parents/grandparents.
I can remember sitting in the bar of the Holiday Inn in Blackburn in 1978 after the Clash played King Georges Hall. There were three groups of people, one around Mick Jones, another around Strummer, and another one around Steve Jones. Topper was stood on the pool table pissing in the pocket and Paul S was in his room listening to dub and smoking reefer with his girlfriend. The band was thinking of ditching The Poodle and Bernie had invited Jonesy on the tour to see if he would fit in. Same surname, London lad, who's gonna notice?
Lita over Joan. Joan's had quite a bit of surgery over the years. Perhaps Lita has had some, don't know. If so, you cannot really tell. But with Joan, you definitely can.
Her speaking voice is so calming, makes me really relaxed. I could listen to her talk all day!
Congrats on the interview, Great to see someone get asked different questions!! Fantastic.
Jonesy is the best*
I remember interviews with Lita when she was big in the late eighties. Shes changed a lot over the years.
Ummmmm, that was 30 years ago. We've all changed.

That’s a hell of an visual and story. Really though? I didn’t realise there was issues between The Clash members that early on in 1978!

One thing about joneseys jukebox that idont like is the shots where the mics always block the face when they are talking
Cool,guy has manners and taste
Are you kidding?? He's a burp-a-holic to the extreme. Unless you consider that good and tasteful manners, to each his own.
