Good adventure there. I didn't see the logic of digging out the collapse either. That ski slope level insane angle for something that doesn't go to the surface. Nice carts and good mix of old and recent. For a moment thought you were at gr again.

@@johnhodgkinson9674 Hi John, The so called Lime kilns look like entrances to addits/shafts to me and were the main outlet for the ore from the deeper levels.
Probably only 100 years old but certainly of some historic value. After all, have you noticed Ashover had 2 banks? Shows the importance of the place once!!

Tunnels are relatively small , and It’s very deep below ground so unlikely to cause sinkholes this one !
