What a lively narration! It takes us to the past and we seem to see the people and the turbulence of a lost era! Asif Sahab can hypnotize with his tales!

I wonder what was the routine communicaction language of Mughal emperors from Babar to Bahadur shah jafar? Was it Farsi, Urdu, Pashto or anything else?

It was Turkish for babur, Humayun largely. Akbar made Persian language the language of all aspects of the empire, eg administration, court , royal family. Jahangir in his jahangirnama says he knows kashmiri, pashto, persian and hindi. Allison Busch (a scholar) says that Jahangir used to talk to his mother in hindi as it was his mother tongue. Shahjahan preferred persian. Aurangzeb used mostly persian, hindi and dakkhani. Later Mughals like Jahandar shah, Muhammmad Shah Rangeela etc used Rekhtah(it's a mix of braj, hindi, urdu, gujri, persian )
